Engine reverberation noise back after replacing mounts

Hi all,
I have a 2008 ISF and recently got both engine mounts and the trans mount replaced with OEM parts. For the first few weeks it was amazing. Car felt like new and the loud reverberation noise of the engine at low / no speeds in drive gear were gone. But after a few weeks the noise returned. On top of that the slight jerkiness of gears also returned. It's not as bad as before but it's definitely noticeable.
My thinking is that the mounts loosened or settled somehow. I'm in Texas and it's very hot here, so is it possible that the rubber got really warm and settled again?

Hey! Yeah, I’ve seen this happen on ISFs after fresh mounts. Even with OEM, the rubber can “settle” a bit once it heats up under normal driving — especially in hot climates like Texas. A few things to consider:
  1. Check torque on the mount bolts — sometimes they loosen slightly after a few heat cycles.
  2. Inspect mounts — make sure there isn’t a tiny tear or the mount isn’t already compressing more than it should.
  3. Drivetrain alignment — if the mounts settle unevenly, it can create slight vibrations or gear jerkiness even with good mounts.
Honestly, this is pretty common; sometimes a gentle re-torque after a few hundred miles and a careful inspection fixes most of it.
Oh, and if you end up poking around the engine bay while checking bolts or mounts, a quick touch-up with the Xtryfun Touch Up Paint Kit is nice — keeps the bay looking clean after moving parts around.
