Whats the lowest price everyone is getting around where they are?
either 08 or 09 but most likely only an 08 ISF will be a deal.

The best price is the price you buy it for !

I've spent all day checking prices on the 2008's and the best price I got so far is $50,478. $54K drive out! That is with ML/Nav, park assist, wheel locks and cargo net! USB/Black interior. I'm in the Atlanta, GA.
j69raw,

As stated in other posts, people have gotten as low as 42K for an 08. As Andy said, the best price is what you pay, as long as you are happy. 50k seems high, 54k is overpriced. good luck.
Depends on when you purchase it. If you still can find 08 now, of course you can get a good deal. I would say at less 48k for a 08 fully loaded now.

i edited my question to make more sense on what i was asking. sorry for the confusion.

im looking to know what others are getting so when i get into the dealership i am armed with solid facts instead of having them play with me when we sit down to negotiate.
you all know how the dealerships play with buyers.

1. - walk into dealership.
9am :)

2. - use the restroom
9:05am :p

3. - look around show room
9.40am

4. - salesman spots customer
9.41am

5. - test drive ISF
9.55am :D

6. - drive back to dealership after test drive
9.56am :(

7. - walk over to salesmans desk and sit down to fill out paper work for financing
10.04am

8. - negotiation starts
10.20am

10.
- salesman starts to walk to finanace room to tell them this customer is a joke
- salesman goes to restroom but lets customer think he is still negotiating with manager.
- salesman comes back and says price is no good, they are not making any money on that.
- renogotiation for a new higher price.
- salesman goes back to manager with the higher price.
*go back and repeat step #10, twenty-six more times*

-customer is finally wore down and will agree to the next price cause he is hungry and wants to just drive his car now!

I don't think your going to find a NEW 08 IS-F for $42,000. If you do, it is going to be a demo with no options on it, and even then your not going to be at $42k. I have my Black/Black DEMO with 5,1xx miles with an MSRP of $62,160 that I'm selling for $46,500 thru March 2nd !
As far as what 949 "recommends" on doing, why make it that hard? Lexus frowns upon a dealership that makes it hard, and goes back and forth. Find a dealer you want to work with, pick out the car you want, drive it to make sure it's right for you, and if all is well, just tell the saleperson what your willing to pay. What's wrog with that? You can be suprised to see that you won't have to spend all day in the store, and everyone is happy. Just my 2 cents.
^Yeah, Lexus dealerships are very straightforward no BS involved. They are very friendly and don't play the "wear the customer out game until he gives up and falls into our price" like you'll find at other lower end dealerships. You be straightforward and don't play games, then they will as well.

$46,500 Drive out or $46,500 + tax and doc?
i hope so. the last time i went to a bmw dealership they gave me the run around. they eventually gave me a lower number but it wasnt until i got home at the end of the day of negotiations and the salesman called me up. i ahd actually took a day off of work just to have some driving fun after i buy the car. i just didnt think it would have been a whole day ordeal. he said they are willing to go with the number i asked for. being stupid i went back at about 10pm on a work week and picked up the car.
Well there's one thing left out, usually appointment needs to be made if one were to test drive the IS F because they would have to prepare it for you this only applies to the F. I got this same response from all the dealers that I spoke with. So give them a call a head of time so things can go smoothly.
FYI. Just got an 09' Matador Red Mica, black interior with navi/ML sound system for $57,500 in Portland, OR. MSRP $61,655. There is hope for discounts on 09's.
Bought mine a week ago (6k miles, Smokey Granite Mica; 7 year 100k extended warranty and LOADED) from a distressed seller $42,700 ($47,400 out the door!!)

Wow, did you take out the brass knuckles to make the seller "distressed"?;)

Congrats. I was offered at $45k for a fully loaded black/black with about 7k miles on it a minor scratch in the rear bumper. But instead I got me a Mercury Metallic brand new, no scratches, and only 49 miles for $48,680. Baba I was wondering did you get the tire and rim warranty?
