Thanks for the welcome. WOW! How do u tame this beast!! My god!! I need to get this animal on a track. Need to learn how to drive it and understand it. Slow process. Baby steps. This car is too much for the public roads!!

I have so many questions. Need to learn all the features.

Are there any topics of the top 10 cool features of this car?
No there are not per se, but there is always everyone's favorite... SPORT mode! :D
What? The F has sport mode?

FBTP, do you have any specific questions you would like ask?
Some cool stuff...

These are all things I learned from the dealer, the owner's manual or just trial and error...

1. Hold down MODE (on the steering wheel) to turn off audio.

2. To permanently (until you turn the ignition off) turn off TRAC and VDC, hold down the VDC button for three seconds. Not recommended though unless you are sure you know what you are doing.

3. Pressing the lock button on the keyfob twice not only locks the car but kills the headlights. Nice.

4. Holding down the unlock button on the keyfob opens all windows and the moonroof.

5. There are hooks for grocery (or other) store bags in the trunk.

However, all these "cool" tricks pale in comparison to just stepping on the gas pedal. This car rocks.

Here is an easy question. I have seen on you tube where as some guy was driving, there was a red/orange ring glowing inside of the tach. I have not seen this happen in mine. Does something need to be set for that?

Cool finds there Krell.

And another little one. (BTW, I know I can probably find these answers, but to make converstation.) Why does it sometimes give off a long beep when I open the driver door?
The ring around the tach is only on the ISx50's and not on the F. The F has a different gauge cluster then the other IS's available.

The reason for the long deep has to do with when the driver door was opened in relation to turning off the car. If you opened the door before turning off the car, there will be a beeping noise. If you turn the car off then open the door, there is no beeping noise. It's to let you know the door is open and the car is on.

Are you leaving the key fob in the car?
I have noticed that you can turn the car off, then open the door too quickly and it will beep at you. I think it is because while the steering wheel retracts and moves up, the car is in accessory mode and the beep is reminding you. If you close the door and wait a second, the beep will stop and you can exit normally.

When I turn the car off, I wait while the steering wheel adjusts, and then I open the door and get out. Generally, I occupy myself by turning off Slacker Radio after I turn off the car, rather than before.
Congats FBTP! Nice to see you're all exciited about your new baby. We're all havng fun with ours, I'm sure you will too.
Another little question:

When I switch off the traction control...and get up to a certain speed, it comes back on again. (I need to read the manual...later)

To turn it off permanently, hold down the button for a few seconds. This will turn off TRAC and VDC. Until next time you start the car. However, unless you are on a track, not sure why you would do this.

Hehe....so I can turn into my street sideways! No, again, just to understand how things work. Thanks for the reply.
congrats on the car, have fun with it be careful as well!! if you have anymore questions dont hesitate to ask
Are the outside rear view mirrors supposed to fold automatically? Like when the car is locked?
Are the outside rear view mirrors supposed to fold automatically? Like when the car is locked?

Nope, they're not.

The mirror can tilt through when your backing up so you can see curbs and the such. When the mirror selector is on the left or right mirror (not the middle) and you put the car in reverse, both mirrors will tilt so you can see curbs and the such. If you leave the mirror selector in the middle and put the car in reverse, they stay the same
