Traction Control

I know this will sound like a stupid question but I can't seem to keep my traction control off. When I turn it off, set my car in sport mode and get on it the light shuts off. I think I might be doing something wrong I just don't know what it is. Also, I have searched for this and can't seem to find an answer.

When at a stop, hold it down for 3 secs and the light will come on. This turns the VSC off completely.
That is what I do. The light comes on and then when I get on it the light shuts off again.

VSC reengages at 30mph

Is there any way to shut it off for good?
search for the pedal dance
and it should last until u turn ur car off
is this an ISF or and IS350? The ISF will totally disengage.
You should be able to hold the switch down then??? I dont know what is up with yours?
It was a DFU. I wasn't holding the damn button down long enough. Thanks for the help and patients with me guys!
You're welcome enjoy the smokey burnouts.

I don't think my car has ever been driven without sport mode and DSC Off. I never drive this car in the rain and before the car is out of park it has already been deactivated
So how in the heck do you do the pedal dance to cpmletely shut it down?

I'm confused. What are you asking to shut down? If you are talking about the traction control look at earlier posts in this thread. if that's not it be a little more specific and someone should be able to help you out.
Thanks, and sorry for unspecific question. I definitely know how to turn my traction control off by holding the button in for a few seconds while the car is stopped. There is a youtube video posted in this thread that shows someone doing something with either the gas or brake pedal which disengages the traction control completely. I think the video on this thread is not the complete youtube shoot. The full video shows 2 runs, the traction control blinking off and on during loss of traction when disengaging with the long push of the button method, and then the video shown here where he callls it a "pedal dance" to disengage the traction contol and performs the same burnout without the traction control light blinking. Maybe I'm just confused.

Waiting on my Sikky Headers to ship next week. Sweet!

Nope, You're not the one that messed up. It was me. My apologies. For some reason when I opened this thread the other day only about half of the posts showed up, or maybe I just missed it. I don't have any experience witht the pedal dance, but holding down the traction control button while at a stop for several seconds should turn it off for the entire time the motor is running or until you push the button again.

BTW..Welcome to the F forums. You should start a thread and introduce yourself.
Thanks, I tested it in the rain yesterday and the VSC or Traction Control lights were not blinking while I had them disengaged using the long push method. I'm good, now I just need the Headers, called Sikky's today, doesn't sound like they will ship this week.
The "Pedal Dance" is for the earlier IS350. On that model the VSS will only stay disengaged until about 30mph even when you turn the switch off. The pedal dance is a way to completely bypass it. I know, I had the IS350 before the F. Pain in the butt to turn the VSS completely off. The later IS350s were changed so you can completely shut it off with the switch due to the many complaints :)
The pedal dance is for the ISF as well. I've done it. What the pedal dance does is it comepletely turns off all aiding electronics that help with traction control. Including the electronic limited slip that acts as a form of traction control. Even with the traction control off and vsc off the car will still apply breaking unless you disable the ELSD. Doing the pedal dance turns the car into a one wheel wonder though. There is a thread on clublexus explaining it in full length.
WOW I wasnt even aware. I will have to try it but my gosh, its already a handful with everything off.
