I got pulled over 2 days after I picked up my IS-F. The officer came up to my window and asked me how long I have had the car, to which I replied, "2 whole days" as I gave him my license. He ran it and came back, handed over my license and said, "2 days, huh?, nice car, just watch your speed." All the while he was chuckling. Caught a break!!
Nothing yet*fingers crossed*. I'm trying my best to take it easy with the Beast. They recently passed a law here in Ontario where if your caught doing 50 kilometers over the limit they take your car right on the spot for one week. They also take your drivers license away for the week as well!! They fine the crap out of you as well but worst off I've heard about people trying to fight the charges and walking out of court with a licence suspension for a full year!!
Man, this car is gonna get me in trouble....and I'll love every second of it!!lol

It could be worse,!!, I've heard in Cali if the cops catch you racing they can impound your car and have it crushed!!! Earthquakes, mudslides, wild fires, and now crushing cars,,, I'd have to go on a killing spree.. JUST KIDDING
I got pulled over by two different city cops. Not even for speeding, it was for not having a front license plate (I've never been pulled over for it in my life and this is my third car without one). He came up and did the usual, went back to his patrol vehicle, checked me out (I listened on my police scanner haha) then came back and said he wanted to look at the car, he wasn't going to write me a ticket, he hadn't seen one before so we chatted it up a bit and I made a new best friend
The second one came up and did the usual. When he came back to my window, I had put my front plate in my windshield. He was quite surprised, I told him I learned from the first time and that I didn't need it on, I'll just keep it in the window Needless to say, I didn't get a ticket from him either and we chatted about the car as well
Got pulled by CHP at LAX picking up my girl for no plates and no registration on the windshield. Dude was a total a hole (What a surprise) but let me off with a warning....I gave him the back from Iraq story which was true but he didn't seem to give a F*ck....CHP, those are the real heroes!!!
I was pulled over by the CT State Police (Torrington) going 78 in a 65 zone. I was really going 85-90 until my laser detector picked him up and I stepped on the breaks pretty hard and he got me going 78. I produce my friends state trooper card and the trooper let me go. That would have sucked if I got a ticket, the tickets up here are a bit expenses.
So far nobody has hit the speed cameras yet, fully 75% of the last driving class I was in, was caught by our new cameras.
I was caught doing a mere 48 in a 35 and was going with the flow of traffic, but I had the car that stood out to the motorcycle cop. He said point blank that I was going to get a ticket, and I did. Fortunately Arizona lets you take a class to erase the ticket from the prying eys of the insurance company
I got a real funny one for you guys! Right after the Engine was broken in which was 5K with on the comp Oil change from Lexus Dealer me and my female friend went out for a drive but I was itching for speed and fact that I just learn how to use the paddle shifter..within going 100 MPH the sheriff pulled me over and asked me by saying"Do you realize how fast you were going? and I said "Yes! He said "Well? I said I had to go see my mom who just got injured so I was burning rubber..After few minutes of running my tags he came back and said this car is brand new isn't it? and I said "Yes"..He goes "Be careful and wish your mom well! Few minutes later me and my friend was laughing, although it was kinda true that my mom did get injured sort of..It wasn't all a lie..Lucky for me I caught a break..
I got the lamest ticket I've probably ever gotten in my IS F a couple months ago in So. Cal. for turning right where "no right turn" is posted at the intersection (if you can spot the sign among the 2000 other signs/garage sale signs, other crap, etc. all over that intersection).
Here's a tip I'll offer you all (I'm in this line of work, by the way...you can probably guess what I do): contest your ticket, set it for trial, continue the court date as long as you possibly can and hope the cop doesn't show. My experience is that approx. 50% of the time he won't and there's your automatic dismissal, which happened to me last week in Long Beach, CA. Don't be afraid to contest these b.s. tickets...they're often easier to beat than you may think. If he does show on your trial date, request traffic school or a second offender's program right there. Odds are any judge won't want to deal with a lame traffic trial and will grant your request.
Hope this helps someone in an IS F out there.
Drive fast, but be safe.
Oh, and lastly, I have to say that my new Escort 9500ci radar detector/laser jammer system is truly amazing. Might be worth the investment if you can swing it. I've been lasered twice while going 10-20 mph over the limit and not even lit up either time.
Continuing trial dates year round
P.S. One of my closest friends is a local police sgt., too. I went on ride alongs the last two Fridays and he's a fellow leadfoot, too. We had some in depth chats about what to do in a cop's mind if you want to avoid tickets. If anyone wants more info, let me know. I found it very interesting.
