While driving Up Loveland pass I got to Race the SL65 amg, e63 amg , C63 as well and a Mayback. Need less to say I beat them to the summit, and when the Guys Tunning the SL 65 took out the laptops to do some more tuning on that car since My excelent driving skills and the ISF performance (traction control on) smoke the Germans.. the older AMG cars cant handle at all. theyre all straight like monsters. the E63 and the new C63 AMG handle lightyears better than the the older ones.

airmatic suspension does wonders for comfort but not so good for cornering.

the only true AMG car that can handle is the CLK63 AMG Black Series, still my dream car.

The ISF in he back. This Sl65 is V12 bi turbo, but it kept vapor locking. The Isf is a Champ

Kinda off the subject but my friend has a CLS55 AMG, I must say that thing is a monster car..Very scary car on the road..Honestly I don't think my F could handle it..Now after this post I think I can at least keep up with him..
I agree the black series AMG cars are street legal le mans race cars. It's all about balance on the track....a lotus exige s would take every car there...but who wants a go cart as a daily driver????
I would'nt want any Lotus as a daily driver but I have to admit I saw one in yellow and black with a roof air dam and spoiler with all the goodies and it looked hot! I really liked the way it looked, and with the supercharged MR2 motor I know its faaast, but .... It's still no "F" !!!! LOL

Dont Get me Wrong the Car was very very fast in a straight line. it just seemed to have issues keeping up with me on the turns specialy real tight turns. I raced it at leas 10 times and it never could pass me. again i was balls to the walls on all the turns and the F Hugged the road. Plus I was carrying like 80lbs woth f Telecomm tools in the trunk.
Point to be made!!!! the F makes less power at this altitude in sport mode. it seems to respond better in regular mode trac on.
When I drove back into denver. the car seemed to have adapted to the higher altitude and the car felt faster. When I drove up here from Houston the car seemed much slower in sport mode, so i stopped using it.
the Sl65 amg is nice, but wait till they release the black series

SL 65 Price?

This is one fine looking auto...Anyone have a guess as to the price range.
It must be considerably over $200k, that's my guess.

300k plus

only 400 made for us consumption

400? really? that would suck.
id much rather get a CLK63 AMG black series. they only made 350 of those. 2 have already been totaled so 348.

those brand were at msrp were 138k although you can now get one on ebay for like 110-120k.
crazy deal for a car that im sure will hold value better than most in the future.

Hm..Bro, I won't disagree with you..However when I went to test drive his CLS55 AMG we were going 145 MPH on a 60 MPH highway..He was controlling the speed using Paddle shifters..As we were turning on corners the sits were moving..For second I thought I had a spine problem b/c the sits were moving according to how the angle of the car was turning..
Although Yes, I saw video on Youtube from Everyone's favorite car tester Jeremy clarkson claiming that the car was too fast and not enough balance..
But at least from my point of view it didn't seem like it mainly b/c my friend was the driver/owner..

You hit it right on the nail..According to Edmund's it's priced at $300K..

As I said earlier and if I didn't, I said it again I'm gonna purchase the GTR 2-3 years from now..I'll be happy with that..$300K is a looney bin price for me..
I think going 0-60 MPH at 3.3 secs is good enough for me from the GTR that is..
I really don't know how much more better V-Spec version is gonna be..

personally my opinoin is that even tho the gtr boasts nice numbers and performance,. its butt ugly. and i would never in my right mind pay 80k for a nissan. sorry not gonna happen not in this life time. id rather pay 300k for a benz then 80k for a nissan.
