A buddy of mine has the E92M3 coupe. Just for fun, we are talking trash and I threw done a bet. Some drag races and some track lapping.

So it seems like he as gone running to his M3 forum for moral support. Here is his thread:

No, we are both running stock. I need to find a spot to practise my launch.

He has the coupe. But he is old and slow, so I already a winner.

I have been practising, but I am not sure if it is going to happen this weekend. Looks like 70% rain on Sat. We will have to see if that changes.

Well, I finally made it out to the drag strip on Friday. I raced another guy, not the guy I was originally going to race. He has the new M3 coupe. We ran together about 8 times. I beat him every time! Maybe he was not used to the car. I went back to the M3 board and asked who was next. They didn't like that, so I now I have another 3 M3's that want a piece of me! So I told them to bring it!!

My best time was 13.207 at 108 mph. And my best Reaction time was .071. This was the first time I ever drag raced!! But I think I now know a few ways to improve that time.

Going to do some road racing this Friday, and there are a few M3's coming to that event...so we will see how that goes!

By road racing, I mean lapping on a track as opposed to a drag race.

Pretty good fellas! Although the F is capable of doing mid 12's or slightly lower easily..

I wouldn't say mid 12 is easy, but it us doable. This was my first time ever. I had my spare tire in. I am going again tomorrow, so we will see if I can break 13 sec.
