I just wanted to give a big shout out to Joe Z for making some awesome products :D. I just put the exhaust on (along with intake W/ TOM's insert) and all I can say is WOW. I can't stop driving it. If there are any guys on the edge as to whether or not they should get this. By all means do. I highly recommend this exhaust it sounds and performs to my standard which is picky.

Glad to hear you like it  They are great products
I'm on the fence with getting an exhaust for my F.
Reading these posts makes me want to go out and get one.

Is there still a group buy going on?
Where in So-Cal do you guys get it installed?
Does it qualify for all the CA emissions?
Does it void any warranties?
and finally, what do you guys do with your stock exhaust?

I don't believe there is a group buy still going on. Hit up Clark at VIP AutoSalon he's really helpful. I installed the exhaust myself. It was very simple to put on the hardest part was removing the stock exhaust. I kept mine just to keep it. I'm not sure about Cali emissions but mine will pass Maryland emissions. The only warranty it voids is the actual exhaust one itself. As long as it doesn't pull a check engine light which the Joe Z does not you will not void your whole warranty. Hope I was of some help.
Possibly Another group buy is it possible? Both the Exhaust and Intake?

Highly unlikely. The current price for the Joe Z exhaust and intake are a steal. You guys are asking wayyyyy too much. The only reason why they offered the first group buy was an introductory offer to get the products out. Don't expect to see another anytime soon. If I were you guys, buy it now before the price does go up.

Not True. If you are passing, you are doing it illegally. It may pass a sniffer test, but not a visual test. The EPA has rules against modifying the exhaust in such a way as to remove a catalytic converter. In any state when you remove it, you are responsible as is the shop that installed it, and any one that inspects it. The EPA states:

"EPA rules prohibit altering an exhaust system in any way that defeats the emissions components of a vehicle. The Clean Air Act was amended in 1990 to expand this tampering prohibition "to include private individuals and the prohibition against the manufacture, installation, sale or offering for sale of any part or component used on any motor vehicle or motor vehicle engine where a principal effect is to bypass, defeat or render inoperative any emission control device or element of design of any emission control system."

This statement reflects the EPA's position that any pipe used to replace the section of the exhaust where the catalytic converter should be is considered illegal under the revised Clean Air Act. Therefore, any work done in this area of the exhaust system must include proper catalytic converter reinstallation. It also holds responsible the owner of the vehicle and the technician who completes the illegal alteration, not just the facility where the work is done.

According to Arvon L. Mitcham, of the EPA's National Vehicle and Fuel Emissions Laboratory in Ann Arbor, Michigan, "The consequences are serious and the penalties are enormous. If anyone has any questions as to the guidelines and regulations on catalytic converter replacement, they should contact the nearest EPA office." The EPA's EnviroSense website at es.epa.gov also contains complete information on the subject"

Now, with that being said, I have in fact removed my secondary cats. I did it, however, knowing the law and its consequences.

Just do it. You'll be fine.

Sorry Flip to go against your thinking. It really all depends in the future how the market will be and HEY we may never know there may be other companies out there probably taking their own time to make some upgrade components for the F. We just don't know yet and we can't be REAL SURE about that yet. When there's competition prices may go up or down we would never know right? It's just that James is throwing out an idea like that and it doesn't even hurt or affect anyone.
so does the joe z exhaust give you a check engine light?

No - It maintains the primary cats and their associated 02 sensors. Therefore no check engine light.

Thats amazing... does it have any kind of drone at any rpm by the way?? I'm very close to buying one and my F still has only 600 miles on the ODO... only prob is transport costs will be too high unless i ship it with sea freight which will take too long... Do you mind giving me the average price of the Joe Z exhaust? Im also thinking Joe z exhaust, intake and a toms filter...
from where can i order toms insert ?
im from dubai
