Sway Bars for ISF Only

Hi
I am interested in opinions and research in the ISF swaybars. Has anyone installed anything other that ISF swaybars with any success.
2- Is it true that F-Sport rear swaybars are stiffer than stock F swaybars.

Please do not pollute the thread with IS-250/350 stuff. This is for ISF only.

I have the f sport rear. I believe its 19mm instead of the stock 17mm. It balanced out the car very well.
Thanks! Where did you buy it from and did it fit well. Also did Lexus sell you only the rear ones? Cost etc.
I have it also. It's labeled for the IS250 AWD model but fits and works well in the F. The dimensions listed above are correct.

Lou
It fit great. got it at carson toyota because I'm here in california, but if you go to L-tunedparts.com its the same place. If you ask for luis he hooks it up. Think it was $170 out the door no tax for the rear bar by itself
I am skeptical about the gains you get with F-sport bars. 08 ISF pulled 0.91 G and F sport IS 250 sport pulled 0.89 G (according to inside line) which is equipped with F sport bars.
^^^^The F-Sport ISs do not have F-Sport sway bars. And, as I attest to above, the rear F-Sport sway offers an improvement in handling over the stock ISF rear bar. We are here to share experiences, and this was/is a positive experience for me. Being skeptical is a good thing, but not for this mod.

Did you complete a skidpad test? When you do please let me know of the results you gather. Seat-of-the pants experience isn't very conclusive.

Also, F-Sport bar isn't marketed for the IS-F.
^^^^Ya know, if there's one thing I hate it's a Wise A$$. Sorry I wasted my time.

^^^No need to name call. I simply wanted to see if you have any hard facts of the bar actually working (skidpad testing or better lap times). Stiffer does not equal better in many cases.

I like facts. F-Sport Sway bars- were not designed for the ISF (Fact).

Either or not they 'bolt up" or how well they fit, another story.

Point is anybody can come and write whatever they want but without the facts its just YOUR OPINION.
Well here's a FACT:

Countless IS F owners have installed and reported a significant difference/improvement in the cars handling/turning ability with the install of F-sport or the sikky rear sway bars.
check out clublexusforum and you'll see Lou was right....
you may not think all that anecdotal evidence means anything as i'm sorry we don't have any skid pad numbers for you however....

^^^ Lou also sports 285 rear tire that are NOT recommended by the tire manufacturer itself (rim being too narrow).

If someone else did it isn't making it a hard fact or a good thing to do.

Like I said, lap times or skid pad test is the way to go on this one.

and as a counterpoint.... just because it's not recommended by a manufacturer doesn't mean it's a bad thing either....;)
MANY.... including myself run wider tires on the OEM wheels (i'm running 275's in the rear and 245's in the front). I have not heard or seen any negative posts about running this (or a similar) setup, however the positives (wider rubber=more contact patch=more traction) are fairly obvious.... I've certainly noticed improvement in handling with this mod... (although not entirely fair as I also changed from crappy OEM bridgestone RE050's to Michelin PSS's... :)
^^^ I support your tire choice and the size you went with. According to Michelin those sizes are indeed the widest recommended for the rim width. Also, from my own experiance I recon that Michelin tires run higher sidewall than Conti or Bridgestone and that is a good thing since the radius would decrease if you stayed with same brand (Bridgestone).

The thing I still haven't figured out is if the sidewall height would be affected and by how much in relation to the rim width and tire width. Pinching/Stretching.

Sorry, Didn't mean to Hijack.
Well thanks for providing this information on Sway Bars for ISF. It has helped me quite a lot.
I too have changed my rear sway bar with the F-Sport
