so i'm driving in town, and this regular cab sierra, with a body kit, and some small ass tires starts to pace me, and he is bucking his truck with the throttle, obviously in a low gear. we get to some lights, and he's sitting there loading up on his brakes, me and my friend are just like "wtf is with this kid" so whatever my friend is like, humor him, so im like fine, waste of gas, but i like my intake sound so yay. so light goes green, i dont even launch the car just go brake, gas, go and he's trying like hell to launch his truck. so he got a jump for like .000001 seconds....and i was up by like 5 cars by the time i hit 100, at which point i braked back down to the speed limit of 60.......aaaand he comes flying by like the douchebag that he is. just another example of people, and kids, not knowing what an ISF is and what it can do. he probably thinks his truck is fast....and it probably is against other trucks.

theres this kid around town that has a turbo cobalt. he's done quite a bit of work to it so its putting out around 320hp compared to the factory 260hp. i guess he's been asking around seeing if people think he could win. the consensus is that he could not. he was smack talkin me tellin me if he had "60,000" to blow on a car, he would have got a 50,000 camaro ss. he doesnt know how much an ISF actually costs. he's completely sure that a 426hp, 400ft-lb camaro would be faster, cuz it has more hp and torque. at this point i stopped talking to him cuz i didnt feel like explaining what makes a car go fast.

one day he'll try to pace me.....then he will get ripped apart.

Pick 'em truck driver says: Uhhh, . . why would you waste your gas and put the wear and tear on your car to race me in my old pick up truck? Shouldn't you be racin' those fancy M3's, Audi RS4's and C63's? Oh well, I guess it's just like me beatin' on the smallers kids in high school. It's still fun to know I owned 'em even if I knew it was never a contest.

your an embarrassing story. did u not read the part about him bucking and then loading up on the brakes. i semi-know this kid and he has a reputation for thinking his truck is the fastest thing on the streets. his truck is a 2006, sierra with a 5.3 vortec, chipped, intake, exhaust, probably making 350-360hp. so i can understand him thinking it is fast-ish. and it weighs around 4300lbs as well.

the whole point of the story is, he didnt have a clue. its not like i was lookin for a race, he just needed to be shown.
