Starfire Pearl IS-F from now until Sept...?

I just got a call from my dealer over here on the North East and I was told that Lexus will only be offering the IS-F in Starfire Pearl from Feburay to September of this year. Am I the only one who heard this? I find this a bit disturbing and hard to digest... I was waiting on the Smoky Granite....

Chances are

that this is all they have been allocated and cannot guarantee receipt of any other colors until September. It is possible that they will receive more IS-F's but they have been spoken for. There is a TON of miscommunication going on right now. My dealership should be receiving a few IS-F's within the next 30 days, but the manager swears that the nationwide release date of the IS-F isn't until April. Make some phone calls to other dealerships and it is possible that they may have your color combo and will be willing to trade your dealership for the unwanted color.

Cool... Thanks... I will ask if they can call other dealerships and see if they're willing to trade up the white for the smoky granite or even black/black... Don't get me wrong, I am more than willing to take the white with black interior but it's a bit disturbing that my first two color choices are not even being offered at my dealership... I'd more than likely go to another dealership but I have been dealing with this one for well over a year now.
I would also add that you should be patient for a week or two. Things are just now starting to unfold. As with the launch of any new vehicle it takes a little time for everything to work itself out. I'm sure your local dealership will do everything in it's power to work with you and get you the correct car. My only advice is to wait a short time to let rumors play themselves out and facts to unfold. Most dealers have been in the dark about a lot of this until very recently and are now just getting a firm handle on this. Information is just now becoming available. Hope this helps and that you are able to get the car you want.

Yup, I decided to wait it out a few. I am going as far into April to see if they will get anything else. My dealer mentioned that they're getting two starfie pearl is-f within the next few days. Since it's not yet at their location I am going to wait. Who knows, maybe they will get two different colors. Since this is a huge enough investment I am going to wait it out a bit till they can offer me the combo I am looking for. In the meanwhile I shall do some shopping for insurance.. :)
Did not hear any restriction about the Starfire Pearl.

I saw the first ISF delivered at Newport Lexus and it was Starfire Pearl. Car looked stunning.

They should receive another 2 ISF next week: Matador Red and Smoky Granite both with Black interior.

If any interest, PM me I will put you in touch with their F specialist, he seems knowlegeable already and is going to Las Vegas speedway this week for the 3 day program.
first ISF sold under order of "first available, any color" I heard is going to be Silver over Black @Lexus of Northborough. Dealers are allocated so many cars per month, per production of that month. Your local dealer may have only been allocated Starfire, take it! Since no Glacier Frost or current Yellow, Starfire is The color, and I drive a Obsidian Black IS, also drove a Black F in vegas fo 3 days and saw all the colors together. I have never bought a white,-nor light colored vehicle. Dedends on the look your going for, darker colors make the car more descreet. If you want to show it off at all, Starfire is the best way to do it!
Newport Lexus is getting another white ISF, don't know if it is spoken for or not.

Give it a shot, good luck.
