The price was $46,000 for a few months now, it is now $39,900.

24,500 miles, black with creme interior. Looks bone stock.

If anyone would like me to check this out for them, I'm local.

I agree - I have seen that car on Craigslist and it looks like a pretty good deal (and I'm shopping around for an IS-F myself).

Unless you can wait for the 2010's which have the Torsen LSD and minor dash upgrades, this is a great deal.
i cant enlarge the pictures but it looks like no navi ?

Hmmm... good catch. I would kinda like to have navigation. What are you guys thoughts on not having it? Is this still a decent price without it?

I have never seen one without the Navi in it. I was under the impression that they all came with navi, so i am not sure how they are pricing against ones with it.

The navi/touch screen module is something I could live without, but would rather have. It is very convenient (with the bypass installed so you can use it while in motion) to use to look up business addresses and get directions. It is also a lot easier to use with your phone than most other products out there. This is just one of those things that make life nicer and easier. Not always used, but when it is it is well worth the extra few bills.

Yep, it's still a good price IMO. I could very easily live without nav., I use the nav feature on my phone. However, on the IS, without nav you lose bluetooth. No bluetooth would be a harder call, but at that price, I guess I could.

I would be cautious of the car's condition despite the descriptions. The price seems too good to be true. ISF being a niche market vehicle, it's going to be a given these cars are not driven lightly. Buyer beware. :)
This dealer has multiple listings of this car. One of the listings has pictures that you can enlarge.

No NAV, that's correct. I personally could not do it without the NAV/Bluetooth.

The salesman is getting more and more desperate, his last ad said "No reasonable offer refused"

If I was ready to buy, I might have considered this, but would add the factory NAV in there....

As far as the car condition, there are ways to check if there was body work done, etc.
I test drove this car a week ago and it is for the most part as advertised however a few things made me walk away:

-Owner had unbolted the exhaust and disconnected a sensor for the intake to make the car louder.
-The car was previously owned/used by Lexus for the last 24k miles and who knows what they did with it.
-No navigation system.

I ended up buying a black on black IS F from Fremont Lexus with 9,000 miles on the clock and a navigation system.

Thanks to all for the feedback in this thread. I think I will continue to keep looking at other options. I did see one on Carmax.com down in southern California. Any thoughts on buying a car from Carmax? I've sold some cars to them but have never purchased one from them.

AH... you're the one who got it.
i was at the dealership about an hour before you got there...saw "your" car sitting in front of the showroom
one thing i noticed was the clear bra...some of the corners were coming off
still though, i think you got a smoking deal on the car

then, you went over to look at some rims and needed a spacer...so i heard...

:D

congrats on the purchase!!!
Yup, that was my car sitting out there and the corners of the clear bra are a little off.

I didn't look at any wheels though... Maybe that was someone else. :)

hmm...must've been then...

are you going to get the clear bra re-done???
Nope, it doesn't bother me to the point where I want to get it redone.

I traveled a great distance to get my IS F primarily because it was blue and had navigation. There was a local IS F in my area (not even five miles away) that had no navigation and were asking that price. I wouldn't go for it.
