Last night, four ISF's from the Baltimore/Annapolis area met up. I had Jaslapp give my wife a ride in his car with the Sikky headers and JoeZ exhaust. When my wife stepped back out of the car she had an ear to ear grin. I asked her if she like the way it sounded and if it would be ok for long daily driving, and she just giggled and nodded yes.

Out of curiosity, Do these LT's weigh less than the stock logs..?? MB did this same exhaust set up on my E63 and it is by far the weakest point of the engine. Too bad the people making LT's for the 63 want an arm and a leg, almost literally...

The headers are 1 lb lighter per side.

Cayman, what are your thoughts on passing emissions in VA?
I just had my emissions done about a month ago with the JoeZ exhaust. All they do is plug into the OBD2 port and look for error codes and since the Sikky Headers come with a clever simulator the car is Error free and will pass emissions.

Son, you're not making it easy for me to save money. :p

I really don't remember if my STi had the sniffer test. I didn't pay attention because I had a high flowing cat. The place I go to in Hernandez has a guy thats really into cars, so the entirety of the test was us talking about cars.

Oh, btw, my PM and I went lunch and I let him "merge" onto the toll road. After a couple chirps of 1st and 2nd I think I have another F buyer ;-)

I visited an empty parking lot this evening and decided to have a little fun. This car really needs some 275's in the back! Anyway, this is what the car sounds like with the SIKKY headers and the PTS JoeZ exhaust. I love it! I have about 400 miles on the headers now with no CEL and nothing but smiles. Thank you SIKKY and JE!

that sounds phenomenal. what did you use to record it? whatever it was did a great job on capturing the audio without clipping/distorting. Can you use the same camera and get some interior noise level clips? same exact sequence - startup, idle, idel revs, launch, cruise. then repeat with windows down?

Hi, I'm new to the forum and thinking about picking up a used 08 is-f and installing a joe-z exhaust and sikky headers. So with the two mods, I don't ever have to worry about taking any aftermarket parts off for emissions? Because that would 100% deter me from getting the mods.

Btw caymandiver75, I think I might have seen you in Columbia roaring by on 29. The only reason I presume is because the is-f sounded nothing like stock. I roll down my window periodically when I drive near one, haha. Are you in that area? I frequent EC and Columbia regularly.

If it was on 29, then you probably saw Jaslapp...Blue, loud and driving fast?

Are you a Maryland or Virginia resident? I can't speak for Maryland, but here in VA, they just hook the car up to the OBD2 port and scan for emissions codes.

You probably did see Jaslapp1. I believe he works up that way.

I'm in the suburbs of Baltimore. I am having a daily mental debate of trading in my dd 05 g35 cpe and a beater 04 accord for the is-f. The G35 is in mint condition and the accord is the work horse. Financially, not wise but damn... the is-f is consuming my mind...

shoot... I have already been reading up on the diys already. I refuse to buy a car that I can't do most of the maintenance on.

Has anyone received information from SIKKY on ship dates for the first sets of Headers, everyone is probably bugging the hell out of him, I can't get them on the phone. Of course we are anxiously awaiting.

That would be me :D. I live in woodbine and work in columbia. I use to live in EC so a lot of my friends live in that area. You should pass emissions no problem. I'll find out in a few months I should be getting a notice to go to emmissions soon I believe. If you ever want to check her out let me know!
