I think the CTS-V is an awesome looking and performing vehicle. I concur with a lot of previous comments regarding resale value and reliability. That doesn't just go for Cadillac though. Others can say what they want and tout the Cadillac Vs, BMW Ms, or Mercedes AMGs...see what they say 100,000 miles from now when the Lexus F is the only vehicle among them that isn't breaking after extended hard driving.

Stick with the ISF. You already purchased it and have taken the hit on the initial depreciation. The ISF is only a few mods away from leaving its competition in the dust. There may not be many aftermarket parts out for it yet, but it does have some serious tuning potential.

Hmmm...I haven't had the slightest problem with mine. Of course I have only 8000 miles on it (in 5 months). I know what you are saying about the equity thing. I bought a new 08 in 09 and got over 13k off of MSRP, so I avoided most of the initial depreciation.

With regards to the CTS-V if you get one...be prepared to buy some wider wheels and tires. In most of the magazines I have read, the CTS-Vs performance stats aren't much quicker than the ISF's, and I am guessing it is because it has difficulty hooking up so much power with 285mm rear tires. 550+ lb/ft of torque, 4200+ lb curb weight, and rear wheel drive = burnout central. Lots of fun though.
