WOW!!! What an absolute thrill. OK, so first let me start at the beginning. Yesterday, I showed up at the New Jersey Motorsports Park around noon on a very windy, but sunny day and attended the first session which included about 18-20 people. We were given an overview presentation of all the available F-Sport accessories and how they were designed to enhance the performance of the stock Lexus models. Then we were given the opportunity to drive and push several cars (including the IS-F, IS 350, IS 350 w/ F Sport Package, GS 350 and GS 350 w/F Sport Package) to their limits in a custom autocross course. Once that was over, we were back inside where we were given a complete overview of the LFA, from its inception to its styling, mechanics, performance and exclusivity. At the beginning of the presentation, everyone was required to pick "F-Sport" stickers out of a helmet. Out of the 20 or so people in this classs, only 3 stickers contained the letters, "LFA" on the back and mine was one of them. This lucky draw gave me the once in a lifetime opportunity to sit beside the amazing Scott Pruett in the LFA while he drove 2 hot laps at the 2+ mile Thunderbolt raceway with its 14 wicked turns and 1/2 mile straightaway. The smile on my face remained as I left the track, headed to my wonderful F and cruised the highway home. One of the event's photographers promised to send me pics, so I will be sure to post them as soon as he does.
