I went on my first Roadtrip in the F.
I drove from home (west-la) to Lake Tahoe and back (highways 405--5--395--14).
Total millage roundtrip was just over 1000 miles.
On the way up, I was trying to drive as gas conscientiously as I could.
I was able to average just under 25MPG, and went about 322 miles with still about an 1/8th of a tank left (before I had to refill).

The drive was great, the car operated flawlessly. Up at Altitude (Tahoe is around 8K in elevation) the car was feeling starved for Air and I could feel the lag, but with the powerful V8, I still had plenty of pickup.

On the drive back to LA, I managed to get up to 168MPH before running out of Road and slowing down. That's the fastest I've ever gone in a car. :)

Overall The F was awesome!

My rear sway bar (part no PTR02-53080) Just arrived.
I'm going to go get it installed. I'll let you know how it feels!

For those interested, I ordered it from here:
http://www.trademotion.com/partlocator/index.cfm?siteid=214082&catalogid=0
search for the factory part number: PTR02-53080
Cheapest place I found it online. Took a little while to ship, but not hassles otherwise.

Here's some pics of the newly installed sway bar:

not sure if its all psychological or not, but the car feels like i can take corners a little better.

Later that night I ran into a modded EVO X on the freeway.
we did 2 runs from about 75mph.
I have to say, that car is Fast! I was able to pull on him though :)

I fitted an uprated (bigger diameter) rear anti roll bar on my track ford cougar and it broke one of the mounts holding the bracket around the bar. Lasted quite a long time before it broke but it still broke. People strengthen the support now if fitting them. Does it look like the ISF has a strong mount to last with this mod?

That's a good question. However, the F-Sport line is manufactured by Lexus, and these parts are designed for our IS line of cars. you can check out the official site here:

When changing any stock component to an aftermarket piece, you run some level of risk. That risk is mitigated by proper design and engineering. I have a lot of confidence in the F-Sport lineup, as well as many of the components designed by members of this board. There are plenty of positive threads with happy owners of JoeZ, Borla, ISS, and other components, and I think its great to have these options for our ISF's. :)
