Range on your garage opener transmitter in rear view?

How close to you have to be to your garage door for yours to work? The range seems surprisingly worse in my F, vs. my 350. I need to be within a few feet of the door now. Curious what others are experiencing?

Check the antenna on the garage door opener, I had a similar problem before, and as soon as I let it hang down, the problem was solved, it is the little wire on the back of the unit.
Range...

No problems here, I'm good from about 50 feet or so. Haven't checked the limits but not an issue so far.

Mine works well, 50 ft +. It's actually better than the range on my TL where I would have to almost be on the driveway before the door would open.

Good luck,

My homelink transmitter works as well on my F as it did on my 07 GS350. I have a range of about 100 feet with no obstacles in the way.
Mine works as well or better than my Chevy truck or the wife's Acura.
I've been able to open my garage from about 50-75 feet away, good distance.
However, on my is300, I can open it from 75-100 feet away. :)

Thanks,
No difference. I'm getting a new mirror/homelink system soon. I'm hoping that'll fix the problem. My current range is about 10 feet. Even on my IS350 range was about 50 feet.

Whether or not I have a rolling code garage door opener shouldn't matter, should it?

That should not matter. Although as some other people have said, make sure the antenna on the garage door opener is correctly placed. Where correctly placed is, can be different for different garage door designs as well as various building materials surrounding it. My garage door is the rolling code.
I finally programmed my homelink yesterday (rolling code) and noticed today when I parked at work that the lock feature using the door button and the "wave the hand over the handle to unlock" feature now does not work....has that happened to anyone?
