Hello all,

I hope you're all thoroughly enjoying your IS-Fs, as I sure am. Two weeks ago I was thrilled to participate in the "Supercar Life" program here in So. Cal.-- www.supercarlife.com --and drove 5 absolutely amazing cars on a closed racetrack for most of the day on 4/7/08.

I really want to track my IS-F, and have heard that tracks near here like Auto Club Speedway and Laguna-Seca are available for 1/2-day and full-day rental.

I was thinking this board would be the best place to find out if enough folks are interested in this before moving forward with contacting one of these 2 tracks for more info.

So if you're interested in pooling our money to get some serious track time in these beasts, please contact me either here or via my email at [email protected] .

I really want to see what my car can do in a cop-free/safer environment than any public streets can offer, of course.

If this type of post has already been made, please excuse the repeat, but I'm very serious about organizing a track day for a group of us if there's interest.

Best,

Rushnut

You may also want to consider Willow Springs Raceway

which is only about an hours drive North of LA. They have several different tracks you can rent by the day.

I would advise having someone out there who really knows what they are doing to assist with proper tire pressure inflation, safety etc....

As noted in a previous thread, in speaking with Paul Tracy this past weekend at the Long Beach Grand Prix, when he did the Speed Channels "Fire & Ice" segment on the MB C6.3 AMG, they went through (3) three sets of rear tires and one set of fronts during the three hours they spent filming the test track segment. So please think about bringing a mounted secound set of tires should you decide to really spend any time with your car up on a road course or autocross track..... YMMV.

Nice. I just signed up for the 1/2 day event at CA Speedway on 5/30 at 11:30am. Which session will you be at? If the same one, let's be sure to meet up for sure.

Make that 3 blk/blk IS-Fs parked next to each other! I'll find you two and park next/near to you!

Can't wait to hear your thoughts after the race day event.

Anyone going on May 22nd? I'll be there for the afternoon session....also Lexus contacted me and asked my persmission to send a video/audio crew to document the experiance for other IS-F enthusiast! Apparently the video/audio will be made available at all Lexus dealers to show what the car can do! Should be fun!
