Hello Everyone,

I got a great deal on a 2008 IS-F and just picked it up yesterday from the Lexus dealer. This car is unbelievable and I am glad I made the choice. I upgraded from a 2004 Acura TL which I also enjoyed driving but I am in love with the fit and finish of th IS-F and the outstanding performance.

I hope to learn a lot more about the car in this forum.

It's white and has the nav package installed. I also got a set of 18" lexus rims and winter tires along with the stock 19" rims with PS2 rubber. The car is awesome and I look forward to spending some quality time with it as soon as there is a break to this frigid Canadian winter .

First impressions so far is that it is extremely powerful and I love the sound of the exhaust. The ride is a little rougher than my 2004 TL but that is to be expected due to the stiffer suspension. I agree with others that say that it would have been nice if they had a variable suspension option but that is minor in the grand scheme of things. The sound system is pretty good but I used to have very loud sound systems in my car back in the day because I owned a car stereo shop so factory sound systems are just a compromise for me. I may just add a subwoofer to this system as I think that is all that is really lacking without making too many modifications. I am going to do the NAV/DVD bypass as soon as the weather get's warmer because I hate not being able to use certain NAV and BT features while the vehicle is moving.

Guys,

I have a question about the DVD playback. It seems like the volume is much lower during DVD playback than it is when I am playing the radio or my iPod. Is there any workaround for this or is it just me .

I am installing my DVD/NAV bypass tomorrow but I am assuming that this will not make a difference to the playback volume.

Got my f 7 months ago and cant stop driving it. Its black with nav system. Traded a 07 is350 that I just paid of for the F. The wife shamed me into buying it, we were at the dealership for an oil change and wanted to test drive it and when we were done she said the 350 was crap. so thats my story.

Hey Luke,

I felt the same way after driving the F compared to the 350. Not in the same league.

I have a wife that supports my bad habbits (most of the time) as well. Gotta love em for that .
