I'm going to assume you didn't read the whole write up.Did you change the springs as well? The shocks/dampers largely control the rebound so even if you soften them, the harshness will remain if the springs are very firm? Progessive springs may help to get the best of both worlds.

If that's the case, then what's the point in changing shocks?
