Price Quote Front Bumper

Just wondering if everyone thinks this is a good price quote replacing the front bumper before I go ahead. 345.98 (front bumper) / 209.00 (3.8 hours on body labor) / 291.00 (5.3 hours paint labor) / 154.00 (5.3 hours paint supplies) / total 1060.00. 2 impressive dents on the front bumper, can they repair without replacing the whole bumper? And if they are replacing the front bumper, why the paint labor and supplies charges? Thanks

Seems maybe a little high, but that may be due to the rarity of the IS-F. For comparison, replacing the front bumper/air dam on my 02 Subaru WRX was about $600. This was a few years ago, so prices may have gone up a bit as well.

I don't know about the IS-F, but I believe most bumpers come unpainted. I think the paint is a bit more expensive/difficult on bumpers because they have to add flex agent to keep the paint from cracking in minor scuffs, bumps, etc.

Unfortunately, paint work is always expensive :(
Good luck,

Well, it just so happens that I'm having it done:eek: While traveling on the freeway up to Phoenix, the car in front of me shot some debris (the tread of a truck tire) back at me damaging my bumper. I've ordered the bumper cover. My estimate:

Cover - $333.98
Flex Additive - $8.00
Misc - $3.00
Body & paint labor - 6.2 hours @ $48.00 = $297.60
Paint Supplies - $108.00
Sales Tax - $39.15
Total - $789.73

In addition I asked them to shoot with two coats of clear and to smooth out the two license plate dimples. They agreed to do both.

I really hate to replace the bumper on a new car, but I don't have much of a choice:mad:

3.8 hours for body labor is excessive. 5.3 hours of paint labor and $154 for paint supply are also highway robbery. the only thing that's reasonable is the bumper.

i definitely would go to a different shop.
That is very excessive to replace just the bumper cover. You should try to get a few different quotes from other reputable body shops.
Mine is now done. They prepped and painted the bumper cover last Monday. On Tuesday I went down and the bolted her on. The price was as stated above.
