Hi
We are looking for a local Arizona IS-F interested in a pair of race headers. Preferably the car should have stock exhaust or at least stock manifolds.

For those who have not heard of us, we are a Tempe, AZ based company that specializes in race headers and exhaust. We currently produce race headers for The IS350, IS250, GS300, GS350 as well as many other cars. You can check out our work at:
http://www.ppeengineering.com

Anyone interested can PM or email us at [email protected] and we can discuss the details and timing.

Thanks!
Paul

They have their guy. I (sigh) am 2nd on the list. I know them by reputation, and they will be a great addition to the F aftermarket supplier list.

The IS350 ones look exceptional. Very good pricepoint for them at 650. It will be interesting to see the outcome on these as well.
Subscribed. Keep us updated with info as you go. Anxious to see the end result here.
I only hope they make to suit RHD, since the other 2 Companies want nothing to do with it.
Any updates?
They are currently working on other projects and also will be heading to SEMA, but will begin working on the IS-F headers mid to late November, with completion scheduled about 2-3 week after (so, roughly early to mid December).

no offense but we have heard that in the is-f game for every part that was ever to come out or be developed. that being said i welcome the new comer as competition is good for us enthusiast.
Yo Splat, any word of the blower?

Don't want to hijack but I'll update mine this weekend after my boys wedding.

No offense taken. I don't represent PPE; I'm just telling the readers of this thread what they told me.

And since you know how "the game" goes, then you shouldn't be surprised by the comment. Whether they deliver by that deadline or not has yet to be seen. Again, just stating what they said. There's nothing wrong with that right, especially considering...

Well got a phone call from Andy yesterday and things are looking good. He has some interesting plans. The car is being shipped off at the end of the month and then he plans to have everything buttoned up (hopefully) by the end of may.

exactly what im saying lol. :D
Yup, I gotcha. :D

But, it's just headers and it's been done twice before and PPE has already done them for many other Lexus models while staying within a reasonable timeframe, so hopefully things won't run much longer (if any) than they anticipate.

Either way, as you said, it will be good to get some more parts on the market. Considering two other vendors already sell the headers (although I think Elite is still in "presell" mode), PPE definitely has some motivation to get these headers out quick, before everyone buys Sikky or Elite's. ;)

Again, time will tell.
Any update on the Headers?
the photo for the prototype isF headers before coating is on ppe's face book page. There test isF just came off the dynojet and made 352 before and 390 after smoothing at 5....38hp. Paul sent me an email with the dyno very quickly once i asked, thanks again
There test isF just came off the dynojet and made 352 before and 390 after smoothing at 5....38hp.
what do you mean by smoothing at 5?
I believe that smoothing is a setting on a dyno. It was a fact about the dyno test Paul gave to me, so i kept the info with the hp numbers. I believe what dyno smoothing will do is reduce the wavy spike like parts of the graph and give you the true numbers achieved by the parts/package installed on your car. But Im not 100% on that, someone correct me if Im wrong. He also mentioned that the isF they tested the headers on had a intake tube, drop in filter and stock cat-back.
^^^^It's really a damn trip trying to attach a document to a post on this forum. I've complained about this before. The files sizes are too darn small. I downloaded a Kenne Bell white paper, which I spent 30 mins. trying to make small enough to fit here without luck). So I attached the appropriate section here:

3. DYNO CURVE SMOOTHING -The smoothing function "flattens" or "smooths" the peaks on the curve thereby increasing/reducing the HP reading. Peaks originate from the slight jerking motion of the tires on the dyno rollers, surging or torque converter flashing spikes at the shifts. Disregard these spikes. Note: At Kenne Bell, we use the unsmoothed curves as it has proven valuable in our analysis and data collection. For example: An out of balance tire or a slight ignition misfire could show up as spikes that shouldn't be disregarded by smoothing. Smoothing can vary power readings by approximately 10HP.

Sorry I couldn't attach the whole thing, or at least a page out of it:mad:

Thanks Lou that makes sense, it is just "at 5" that confused me, it probably means that it is smoothed over 5 consecutive values
