To clear some stuff up... the car had a version of the street exhaust, Toms Filter, and a Joe-Z Intake Pipe. The exhaust that was used was something we were trying that BOMBED!!!

We tried to take care of the drone problem and make as much power as possible.... and again it BOMBED!

Trial and error is better on another persons car if you know what I mean! And I am very thankful that splat allows us to try things on his IS-F... Splat you the man!

Regardless the intake did make the 13HP and we will be installing the track exhaust back on Splats car to see what the numbers look like.

The porting look awesome. I will post pics of the install soon.

I also have to say Andy from Elite is one cool guy.

ODB was hooked up we could monitor all the sensors. It was not opening 100% it was doing the same thing when i took it for its baseline. I think when i got it serviced last that the dealerships did something to the ecu, as before my last service i had no issues on the dyno seeing 100% opening.

With your previous dynos were you using the same OBDII codes to read TPS? TPS in the car never hits 100% on US ECU's from what I understand (and have witnessed). The blitz adds a minor (+2%?) amount, again - from what I understand.

Also - is anyone aware of any -F ECU updates?

splat, has anyone brought up that the way he is porting it might not be optimal? It seems that im is polished throughout all the way into the runners leading to the chamber.

From what little i know, on other cars getting ported, we would leave the runner, just that final tube going into the chamber, rough, so that the air tumbles a bit before entering the chamber, that smooth runner lacks the turbulence caused by the rougher spot before entering the chamber. the tumbled air generally gives a better mix of a/f and thus a more efficient charge.

has this come up at all, or does this sound applicable at all. I am not an engineer, and this was just something I saw discussed, it seems plausible, but the difference also seems minute. and again Im only referencing the runners if that s what they're called, the legs of the spider if it was one.

How much power do you think the throttle body is adding? Obviously the manifold is most of the gain. What do you think the difference is with a manifold and stock tb?

Maybe 1-2hp at the most, the main effect of the TB is the smooth airflow and allowing more air to get into the manifold faster. Even if you only take 1mm (exaggeration of measure) of material off that is a significant amount off material!

I second that. I'm about to install a ported/polished intake manifold and throttle body. Does anyone know where I can find a write-up, or how-to on the removal/install? I'd much rather know exactly what to do as opposed to just "figuring" it out.

Any how-tos on the install? I don't want to miss something
