im taking mine off next weekend at issforged if you want to do yours also, then over night shipping mine to mn for a quick turn around and some testing to see what numbers produce, unless of course andy wants to respond to my txt first ;)

well i can tell you that there manifold will be here monday and then i am overnight shipping mine to them. So we plan on testing out the gains to be had on the dyno next tuesday.

Any news on the intake manifold and TB?

Please post gains when you get it to the dyno, and also please tell us what performance parts were on the car before and what was your WHP before.
Come on this isnt my first time at the dance, and check my exhaust thread you will see.

That being said i signed my slip so UPS should be dropping it off this afternoon at my house. Then tomorrow i have a track event at Homestead with the LF-A launch. So i should be gettting on this thursday!

dropped my car off with janoy for it to get a baseline this afternoon or tomorrow. Once that is done i will be swapping the parts and going back to the dyno. We are looking to have everything done for the Huge lexus/supra meet this sunday!

the verdict is we will be releasing the results by mid next week. we have more baselining of the car to do then swapping the intake driving and dyno it.

Shit im still trying to get the OEM manifold off. I started it yesterday and spent two hours working under the hood. And let me tell you that once i got started and remembered that i needed to drain all the fluids and do this and that I said F it. Then I had Janoy call a Lexus Tech. (who will either except the job) or im flatbedding it to my STi shop and letting the man work wonders on it bc i dont have time for it. (In the Marines and working about 120hrs a week for haiti).

Those awesome elves at ISSForged got the manifold off lastnight after i left it in there hands. They are swapping the new one on today and buttoning up everything then we will go off to the dyno either saturday or monday and results will be up. Sorry for the delay.

I would like to see the air fuel ratio in order to see if the car leaned out. also would like to see the dyno graph, because I believe that the car had an aftermarket exhaust. but still if the car gained 13 rwhp that is good for a non forced induction engine.
The ODB was hooked up for the dyno so everything will be readable. Andy has them in his email now. As for the exhaust yes it does have an exhaust, but the clear case of the matter is that it was dynoed with it on before for baseline and after. Also i wasnt getting 100% tps opening so im putting the blitz on today and then taking it back to dyno it again seeing if the tps will open up allowing more air in. Either way for the cost and what we have available right now for our cars i am very happy!!

already talked to him, I just want to know wich of the two exhaust you have cuz they make a race one that makes interior noise.
i have both systems, janoy uses my car all the time and likes the quiet one, i like the loud one and dont notice bc im used to it. However i can tell that the drone is only from about 1700-2000 rpms its really not that bad at all. During this dyno run it was the quieter of the two setups. We are going to redyno this week using the track system.

No the quiet one doesnt have the drone, the track/race one does (but i dont mind it) janoy does.

How did you conclude your TPS was not 100%?
ODB was hooked up we could monitor all the sensors. It was not opening 100% it was doing the same thing when i took it for its baseline. I think when i got it serviced last that the dealerships did something to the ecu, as before my last service i had no issues on the dyno seeing 100% opening.

everyone wants a million different things. The car was dynoed on a different dyno when we were testing the exhaust when they were first built. I put down 385 max before on the dyno with just an exhaust and intake. They are all different, everyone knows they are good tools. We avg. 13hp increase in this one. When the track exhaust goes back on and the blitz is put on im guessing you will all like the results a lot more. So stay tuned!!!

That is why we had to rebaseline this car bc it was a different dyno and it was the right thing to do.

My concern is that you dynoed 385 with the intake and exhaust, now you have 352, therefore my question is was this dyno with the factory exhaust and intake or not.
my car was dyno'd with the exhaust and intake in (but its a different dyno then was previously used, hence the lower numbers). So we base lined and then we changed the manifold and TB. and re dyno'd that is where we picked up the 13hp.

i think he made it pretty clear in his statement that his car was returned to bone stock, then dyno'd, then the ported intake manifold was installed, then it was dyno'd to show the gains from STOCK.

is that simple enough to grasp?
Car was not stock for this dyno however we have done stock runs and are doing more testing either thursday or monday. depends on their schedule and mine.

this led me to believe you took the exhaust off.
no i have the quiet exhaust on now, and we needed to baseline that, plus its a different dyno. sorry for the confusion.

I am putting the track back on and then we are going to redyno it again.

With your previous dynos were you using the same OBDII codes to read TPS? TPS in the car never hits 100% on US ECU's from what I understand (and have witnessed). The blitz adds a minor (+2%?) amount, again - from what I understand.

Also - is anyone aware of any -F ECU updates?
I believe they were in the past not sure. Also i didnt know any of this so thanks for the info. I will look into it and get back to you. I cant imagine driving a stock car anymore after the what i have done so far!

Maybe 1-2hp at the most, the main effect of the TB is the smooth airflow and allowing more air to get into the manifold faster. Even if you only take 1mm (exaggeration of measure) of material off that is a significant amount off material!
