Hi all,

I found new 2008 ISF. Sticker ~$61. Dealer says he can sell it for $49.9, with "a bit more room to negotiate". My friends brother says that he has purchased a similar car for $45K , few weeks ago. He traded his M5, though, so I'm sure it affected the final price. I'm also thinking about trading my 07 Jeep SRT8 with 36K miles.
What do you guys think about the price? Can I squeese another couple of grand of him?

Thank you.

Thank you guys.
It's not about how much they will sell it for, but rather how much I want to spend in addition to my trade in. BTW I spoke to a friend who got a similar car couple of weeks ago. He figures, he paid aroung 48.5K. That's what I will be aiming at...

Thanks again

Test drove an ISF, nice! I loved it, but in auto mode it’s very slow do downshift. Car’s well balanced, quality is far superior to my Jeep, of course. :)The suspension compared to Jeep is really cushy.;)
Now the problem: the car was sold when I was there. How about that? So, it’s two cars now, which have been parked for a year and a half and both were sold when I came to the dealer. One on Friday and one on Monday...
Did anybody say something about luck? I’m not even upset, just amused.
Well, I'll keep looking, C63 also becomes a possibility (shhh, don't tell my wife)

I'm pretty sure there are still dealers out there with 08 ISFs. Just go on cars.com or a similar site and check. I saw a new 08 listed for 46k and change the other day.

I'm sure you would be extremely happy with the C63 if you purchased one...they are awesome...minus the typical Mercedes depreciation, maintenance cost, and fuel mileage...this is important to some and not to others. I know that I feel more satified driving an extremely fast car that averages me 21 mpg rather than 17.
I spent couple of hours yesterday searching/calling; nothing within reasonable distance (I don't want to travel far). Those few used cars are just as expensive or even more then leftovers I found, so it doesn't make sense to buy them. I think I know about an 08 you're referring to. That's one they delivered on Friday one hour before my arrival (or so they say). For some reason (traffic generator?) they still have it on autotrader.
As to C63 AMG, they had crazy incentives on 09-s, when people bought them for $55K out of the door with the sticker in high 60-s:eek:
I know how bad the depreciation is on theses cars I used to drive CLK55 couple of years back.
Fuel economy doesn't really bother me, coming from the Jeep SRT8, almost anything will get better mileage :)

Well, with winter coming, common sense prevailed. I traded in my Jeep, which paid for the lease of G37X with "sport package" (just a name, nothing sporty about it, except paddle shifters and bigger wheels, but an ideal commuter car) for 36 months and I'm getting some $$ back, which I'll use towards SLK55or Z06, the latter will require a lot of effort on my part to convince my wife.:)

Thank you all for your help.
