I've seen the IS-F gauge cluster lit and think it looks great so I'm using it as inspiration for my car's gauge lighting. I would, however, like to see the IS-F gauges off - or can someone tell me what color the needles are when the gauges aren't lit? I know the speed/tach needles are blue and gas/temp needles are white when on. Is everything just pitch black when the car is off? I'm trying to find out what color the needles are painted so I'm displaying the right colors when I don't have the backlight on. Or is the IS-F using different lighting technology where you don't see a needle color? Sorry for all the questions, I just haven't seen a pic/video with the cluster off.

Thanks in advance!

If you look at the back window on the IS-F, you will notice a shiny black piece on the 3rd brake light assembly.... That determines the contrast of the gauges and how bright they become. That's the one reason you don't see a Power Sun Shade...
Interesting! Well, I test drove a Mercury Metallic ISF two days ago and I was impressed. That thing is a monster (that's what she said). I really liked everything about the car - it sounds hungry when you step on it. I fell in love. Might be getting one soon, but they told me the Ultrasonic is almost impossible to get - is this true? I would think so because I haven't seen one on the street but it could've been because he was trying to sell me the silver one.
