I've actually been thinking of a garage solution to the salt. Washing at a touchless is pointless considering the car will still be wet underneath and you'll just pick up more fresh salt on the ride home. I might hire an engineer to develop it.
That's my father's gear, he's a big collector of vintage audio gear. He has his own lineup of amplifiers as well, but I think they are for rotating speakers.
You still have to drive something. My snow/salt car in the past was a 1999 Acura Integra. You wouldn't believe how badly the salt corroded the gunmetal wheels and the entire undercarriage. The wheels look like they were pulled out of the bottom of the ocean after 20 years.
