I just got my ISF this week and couldn't be happier. This is certainly the nicest car I have ever had. I sold my 2000 C5 Corvette 1 month before I deployed to Afghanistan. I saved up the whole time and got the okay from the wife to get an ISF. I was actually about to settle on a BMW 335i when my wife slapped me out of it. I drove the 335, it was very nice, twin turbo was ok, just wasn't a jaw-dropper. I asked her if she wanted to drive it before we left the dealer and she bluntly said No! She said it was okay and wouldn't be mad at me if I got it , considering the 2008 335i was only $32k and the ISF was $42k. She was right. We made a good choice. As I said before couldn't be happier, and I think the ISF is faster overall than my Corvette, crazy!

Question:
I have the parking sensors in the rear, that work, they show up on the back up camera, etc. I have what looks like sensors on the front, but, they don't alert me to curbs in the front. Are they broken? Does anyone have some that work? It looks like the previous owner ran the nose over a curb in a parking lot and its a little "effed-up" but not noticeable unless you get on the ground to look at it. Maybe, the parking sensors worked before the female driver ran over the curb? Any advice or ideas ?
Second Q: The tire pressure indicator left of the steering column is weird. how do i get it to display tire psi? My corvette would tell you the psi to every tire while on the move and the ISF doesn't do anything while its rolling and i cant figure it out while parked. ?????

That's it for now. I sure am a proud owner of my ISF, I really cant believe its in my driveway. I really cant believe it. Glad to be a Forum member too ! Thanks in advance for the replies.

Congrats and welcome! Ok i can help a bit. The parking sensors dont detect curbs, youll notice the fronts will beep when your parking head in and aproaching the car in the adjacent spot.when people wall to close in a cross walk they will sound. mine also went off whan a large snowflake whould land on one. So they are mainly for obstuctions. I rubbed a parking block before i knew this. TPS does not display current pressure on 08 just which tires are low or (off). Hope this helps

Congratz on the car, its a blast. And Ditto on what Johnsy said above.

^^Now that is some funny shat.:p

Welcome to the forum. Pretty much what the guys already said are correct as for your parking sensors and tire pressure. This car is for sure a sleeper, it won't stand out as much as your Vette, but will get the job done for sure.
While it sounds silly, today, one week plus after receiving my ISF, I put it in sport mode after our long road trip back from florida. And BTW got 25 mpg doing 79 for 300+ miles on the first leg and today got 26.9 mpg on the last leg doing 65 average mph for 200 miles. So back to the sport setting.... Eyes were wide open. Throttle so damn responsive. I have been driving all week with my new daughter and wife in the car, so i havent even hax a chance to screw around, but the opportunity presented itself briefly in a passing scenario. So I hit sport put it in third gear doing 60ish and wow, it was over in 2-4 seconds and I was left with the unfullfilled feeling that I blew my load to soon. I cant wait till i get to drive without the family again. Tomorrow I'm going for a drive firat thing while the sun is still low, cant wait. I have already gone to the garage about 3 times tonight just to drool on her sitting so pretty in her stall. I think my favorite thing so far about the ISF is the sleeper aspect. Most people dont look at the car and even fathom its power. Its just a 4 door good looking lexus. I dont get all the stupid mustang driving trash giving me "pipe" at the red lights , that drove me insane when i was in the corvette. I keep expecting the mustang at a light and it hasnt happened, now i almost want to find the unassuming mustang or corvette to look at me funny. I will keep posting and updating my additions and mods. The first thing Im adding is the satellite reciever. I cant believe that the flagship 60,000 dollar lexus doesnt come standard with satellite, confuses the shit out of me. Next will be a k&n intake. And instead of exhaust, i think i will be adding exhaust cutouts like i had on my corvette. It waz great to have a stealth exhaust 95% of the time and you hit a switch on the dash and now it sounds like the most ferocious sick race exhaust yiu ever heard. I used QTP on the vette, probably go with those on the ISF. You can watch my exhaust vids on youtube by searching my page. ( agbrown308). Let me know what you think. I just like the idea of having stock exhaust unless you want to have fun and get loud. I also just took some pics last night in the hotel parking lot. Let me know if they posted properly. Bye for now.
