Congrats on the purchase and welcome to the site! That is where I get my F serviced, they have one of the best service departments I have ever dealt with  If you want to meet more F's around the area, feel free to let me know, the North Texas Lexus guys have their own site :)
Hey Big Mike, and others, thanks for the welcome. My home is Longview which is about 2 hours away from Big D.I have a couple of friends from that area that I visit that have vettes [me also],and I have a lot of fun hanging out. I will check out this north Texas Lexus club. Do yall have a website?
Howdy from Dallas as well. I bought mine at Sewell at well and have nothing but great things to say about them and the car. Btw, picked up my first ticket last week heading down to Austin.....bummer
You guys are making me a little nervous, I am traveling to Waco to pick up my niece today and I know when I hit the open streches it will be hard to drive the speed limit!

You should come out to some of the Dallas meets, there are quite a few F's that roll out there

They're working on our own right now, it is a work in progress. I'll be happy to PM you the link though if you would like to see its progress. As far as meets and stuff, if you ever in the Dallas area I would check out the North Lexus Lexus regional portion of the ClubLexus website (way down at the bottom of the opening forum page). There is always something going on in Dallas for meets and stuff

That stretch of 35 you have to be careful on. It is tempting, just make sure the roads are open and DPS isn't parked down in a ditch. I would also bring or purchase if you don't have one, a radar detector, saved me many a time on that drive.
Made it there and back without a single radar hit from the DPS .I saw 3 or 4 but they were not active. I have a Bel RX-65 pro for protection. Looking to upgrade to a Passport 9500 ix. I actually went the backroads way thru Tyler, Athens , Corsicana on Hw 31 and I cannot believe my mileage.I Only have /had 1,485 miles when I left and I traveled 185 miles on 7 gallons of gas for an average of 26.4 MPG !! Is this common for this car? I'm not complaining but out on the open stretches I was not beating on it but I never was below 75-80 MPH. Whats the best mpg yall have got?
If you're light on the gas pedal, it's certainly possible to obtain those numbers. The trip computer gives you a ball park number. The best method is of course the old fashioned Miles Driven divided by gallons filled method.
^I agree. It does quite well on the freeway if you take it easy. Gotta love the two overdrive gears. I find the onboard computer quite accurate. It's within .2 MPG of my calculated MPG from the miles divided by gallons paper method.
