Hi guys,

Loong time reader of these boards, and just reading thru some older posts i thought it was time i made my self known.

Ive got a 08 USB ISF, Which started life as a ex demo ,. so i was given a massive price cut on a new one.

Mods so far include:

JoeZ Intake
Toms Air Filter
Braided Brake lines
Lowered on Tein Springs.

Future Mods include:

JoeZ Exhaust (in Transit)
Sikky headers.

Cause we run 98 octane here in Aussie hopefully my dyno result should be a little fatter then the 416whp that most seem to be putting out .

Pics and dyno print ups to come.

Welcome. Your car should be an absolute beast after the exhaust and headers. I don't know if your car will dyno much higher hp with higher octane or not. I read somewhere on CL that since our cars are tuned for 91-93 octane, that higher octane won't make a difference...I'm not sure though.

Thanks to all who have replyed or read my thread,

I will def get back to you guys in regards to my mods.

The braided lines are offer a noticeable difference to stock. what were they thinking, massive bembros and rotors, and the same rubber lines you would find on a Corolla.?

I see i forgot the best mod i will do with my tax cheque.!

Custom plate reading : M3KILA

Whats you guys think .??

other choices?

Just curious since you are from down under. Did you every test drove or consider the VXR8S Bathurst? Saw it on Top Gear the other day and this baby has a supercharged 6.2L making 560bhp (and that amazing supercharger whine!) Is it priced similar to the IS-F?

Hi Richie,

I am a new owner of a 2008 IS F myself and I am in awe everytime I drive it. I love it and am surprised that I have not come across anyone I know of (other than one) that even has a clue as to what an IS F is and how it differs from the other Lexus models. Mine has the Borla exhaust which suits my taste well.

Welcome!

Steve

Hey thanks bud, the car you speak of is known as a HSV (holden special Vehicle) Clubsport R8 , but here they aint supercharged. They put out around 307kws at the fly or for u guys thats around 410hp or so . and are worth around 70k aud.
The IS-F puts out 311 kws, and are priced here in aussie at around the 130k mark . There aint many Isfs on the road here either..
Id never consider a Holden . bogans drive them .and HSVs are just Bogans with cash !

Ahh welcome Steve, Yes ive had this talk with many a friend of mine. they all think that the ISF has a v6 engine and just big wheels and brakes.

Then they hear that engine, and what an amazing engine it is.!
