New member... from STi to IS-F!

Hello everyone,
I'm a new member here and just wanted to introduce myself. I recently traded in my 2005 Subaru STi  for a blue IS-F. :D
I must be groing up (the IS-F was my 30th b-day :( present to myself) now that I've made the jump into the luxury sedan side of the auto industry.
The suby was lightly modded, pushing 391HP and 403TQ  along with some minor suspension tweaking.
I come from a rally racing background hence why my last 4 cars have been Subarus. (all blue by the way)
Other than that, I'm looking forward to learning more about my F from all of you on this board. I'm very familiar with online forums and know how to search.
So my promise is this... I will always search before asking a question and please take it easy on me if my questions seem very basic to you. ;)
Later!

Welcome to the site and congrats on your purchase!! :)

Don't worry, we won't flame you for asking questions, we will just point you in the right direction if its already been covered

How does the F compare to the Suby?
Congrats! I sort of know the transition...haha...still got the subie for track days.
Welcome, we are glad to have ya! Please share any stories with us as you grow with your new "F". It is unfortunate, but I don't think the IS-F is going to handle the dirt tracks as well as your Subie might have!
lol on club lexus im wrx to isf! my last 3 cars have been modded subies i traded my 06 wrx for mika grey isf. what have u done with your isf so far ? i know ure not going to rallyx it!....?
I love the F so far. It's especially nice to be able to put it in "D" while dealing with traffic to and from work.

The F has very similar handling characteristics as the suby did with minor suspension mods (primarily bushings, swaybars and springs). I haven't gone crazy slideways style with the F yet but I can just imagine how much fun it's going to be.

I haven't done anything to the F yet and I'm planning (so far at least) to keep it stock. Primarily because I want to start building another suby rally car sometime next year.
Great transition. Welcome to the F family. :)
welcome to the site, don't be embarrassed to ask any question, i bet that when we all got our F's we probably asked the same question, so don't worry about it, we are all here and happy to help you with your new "baby". haha:)
