Cool. So, can you tell us the story behind it? Do you know someone at KN, or just inquire about an intake for the isf, or what? How did your car become their test mule?
sounds like alota hype unrealistic claims are often made few can be verafied.30 to the wheels? from an air filter?!! i wish!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Is it me or do the initial torque reading seem unusually low?

Ok let me explain to you all the reason why i got my intake way before they are even coming out with it is because my car was a test mule and yes it is true it gained 30 hp and 25 pounds of torque its really true im not lying i felt a huge difference. i took it to the track on thursday and i usually run an 8th of a mile 8.7sec on an 8th of a mile but this time i ran 8.3 this time its really fast im telling you and it sounds sick like a ferrari f1 i just got pulled over the other day because of my intake but i tell you what hold out for the k and n intake its well worth it the way they made it the tubing is not metal its like carbon fiber so its not a heat soaker and they did a huge reasearch on how to improve it if you really wanted to find out just hold out for it till they come out with it im telling you its well worth it its insane. i said the same its insane because usually intakes dont bring that much hp out of an intake but when i felt it and saw the dyno sheet and taken it to the track it proved to be real. if there is anything u guys needed to know i can answer your questions im trying to put it on youtube havent had the chance yet just hold out for it. i had the srt intake and it really wasnt as great. it felt like the car wasnt tuned right. i had that computer in my car also put in i spliced through my computer wire, and it was a mistake i should have never taken just hold out for it trust me on this

i called them k and n about the intakes and they told me they had nothing yet for that vehicle they said they are looking for some one with the car to test it on so i said if they were willing to give me a free intake i was willing to give me car in so they said thats what they normally do so i left it there as a test mule

Atrocious grammar and punctuation aside, you didn't even answer his question.

And to clarify your next post... You called K&N out of the blue to ask about an intake, and they said "we don't have anything yet, but we'll give you a free intake if you let us use your car to develop it". Is that about right?

Tough crowd here, the guy is simply exited about a new mod. He has even provided a Dyno sheet. Those that are skeptical, don't order it.
K&N

I admire the initiative of someone that would contact K&N and offer up a test vehicle. However, I just can't envision that any aftermarket supplier of intakes, exhaust systems, etc., would look seriously at a vehicle with such a comparatively low number production run. I've read about other manufacturers taking a look at performance parts for the ISF, but I think that is all that might happen, they will take a look, crunch some numbers, and find that it doesn't do anything for their "bottom line". Too bad.
Point taken... I can see how my post probably came across pretty rude. I just have a hard time giving credibility to someone who can't take the time to proof-read their delivery, and the situation under which the intake was provided/developed seems rather dubious... at least to me...

Tough Crowd:confused: The darn thing doesn't exist. Folks have asked for photos, and none have been forthcoming. Dyno sheet? How easy can the be forged? Order it:eek: Go to K&N's site and try to order anything for the "F". The site informs you "No products found, please try another application". Now I've been using K&N stuff for years. I've got a K&N air filter in my F right now. It's one they recommend for various Volkswagen applications, but it fits our cars. Again, I've been following this thread, and call me a skeptic, but I don't believe any of this:mad:

If you guys check the history for a previous thread about K&N

you'll find that I contacted them several months back about using my car for their mule. At that time they said they already had a mule and that the "AIR FILTER" would be coming out at the end of the year. There was never any mention of an cold air induction system to me, only a air filter.

When I asked about using the one for the Volkswagen as suggested in the previous thread, they said their testing showed it was not a perfect fit so they were making a new air filter mold specifically for the IS-F. Again, all this talk revolved around a "air filter" and never was there any talk about anything more. I can't say they didn't make a cold air induction system, as suggested, just that at the time I talked to them that they were only working on an drop in air filter for us. I'll call them back for an update and keep everyone posted on what I learn.

Sounds good, let us know Dean. I'm a little skeptical but will reserve judgment until I see pics of the system or hear it from a second source.

It is kind of like someone at a cocktail party telling you how much money they make, how much they bench press, quarter mile time. Why waste your time asking someone to prove what you know to be a fallacy?:)

PS. " it fits our cars " is grammatically incorrect.
Called and E-mailed K&N. Their customer service rep >

said their air filters are NOT ready for release yet and knew nothing about a cold air induction system for our F's. I E-mailed my inside contact and am still awaiting an answer. Will keep you posted as I find out anything.
definitely keep us posted... if there is in fact a cold air intake, i would be very interested
