Some good buy stories here...love it, lowrider...and OP, don't worry one bit. I did not want to buy now...I kept telling myself, you have a perfectly fine car, you don't need this vehicle, economy is in the dumps, conserve ALL your cash, think about refinancing your house, etc. etc. etc.

Well, once I drove the car, it was about 80% over right then. I pulled a purchase forward to December because I got a good deal on the price and the financing was awesome....

prices may keep going down, who knows...I am guessing that Lexus will severly cut production of these cars in '09 and try to keep the prices a bit closer to msrp....it's good for the brand and good for resale to not discount too much, even though we all like big bucks off.....I was orig . in the market for a '09 G37 sedan, Audi A4, or TL until I actually saw a TL...for a few thou more, I have a truly awesome car.

I came out of a modded '03 G35 Coupe 6MT. You can't compare the two. Lexus quality and build far superior to Infiniti.

Yeh, the earlier Infiniti cars/interiors were crap...the newer ones have much better quality...have you looked inside an '08 or '09 sedan.?...I test drove one and it wasn't bad at all inside...but not Lexus quality.

Yes, I have to admit, I'm glad I'm not the only one with the impulsive buy stories Mondo, it sounds like your route to the car happened virtually the same as mine. I was originally in the market for an '09 G37 sedan, the new Audi A4/S4 (S4 was a bit out of picture since it isn't out yet), and I had already ruled out the new TL after I saw what it looked like. Ultimately I came to the same conclusion as you - for a few thousand more I have the Lexus quality I wanted with the extra sportiness I craved.

Indeed...that new S4 looks kinda sweet in pics but I bet it will be high 50's-60K w/options and no discounts for awhile...and we'll still have 85 HP on it....G37-Infiniti is hiding most of them in ports until '08's are gone plus I just wasn't totally thrilled with the '08 I test drove.....and TL is one homely piece of metal....so here I is......(we need more smilies to choose from on this board)
