Nav display

Two qustions:

I have searched on the forum and did not find any references to this:
Is there a way to make the display stay on the audio screen rather than going back to nav all the time?

Also, why are there two temp guages? It seems the analog moves quite a bit before the second bar on the digital shows up, just seems redundant. Is there a setting I'm missing (to change the center digital dispaly)?

Thanks

There is a setting in the nav system that is something like automatically revert to map display. If you set this to "off" it will leave the display on the audio page until you change it. I'll try and look up the exact setting when I get home tonight.

The digital temp gauge is oil temperature and the analog gauge is coolant temperature. At least on my IS-F, it takes quite a while for the oil temp to come up. Usually max I ever see is 3 bars, sometimes only 2 bars if it is cold. This is after 18 miles of highway driving in the morning.

Great! Thanks. It makes more sense re: temp guages. I guess that 'encyclopedia' of an owners manual might be worth reading after all

I looked at the Nav settings, but I guess not in the right spot. I will dig deeper/more completely.

Unfortunately, as winter sets in, I will be driving "Red" less often :(

Thanks again!
I found the owner's manual online :)

Click in the info button -> screen setting icon -> automatic transition and set that option to off. That should take care of it. Luckily for me the woman who gave me the overview of the car when I bought it turned it off. She said I would want it that way and she was definitely right.

Thanks again. Do you have the link for the online manual?
If you sign up for an owner account (click on the owners link at the bottom of the main page) on lexus.com, it offers a searchable online manual. You can download and save the sections you are interested in keeping.

Thanks for all tour help!
turning this off does keep the audio page up until you use reverse then it defaults back to nav after the backup cam goes off. kind of annoying but oh well i have to hit audio every time i back out of my garage.
