Nail in Tire leads to IS-F vs. 350Z

I had an interesting day yesterday when it came to the F :) I noticed that on Friday morning, while washing the car, there was a huge nail in my front left tire so I called the Lexus dealership to have it brought in (purchased the tire plan) and have them check it out

When I was on my way there I saw my first Nissan GT-R and I have to say, I'm not sure I'm a big fan of the way it looks. It was flying down the opposite side of the freeway and was the titanium color they offer on the car so I didn't get to see it up close but from what I saw, it wasn't anything special. It could of just been the color of the car (which looked really dull and not shiny) but I'm going to continue to wait until I see one up close. Has anyone else seen one and your opinion on it?

When I got to the dealership I went sniffing around the parts department and purchased the new IS-F watch. Its silver with a rubber band and it looks awesome in person, not so much online or the magazine. I sniffed around the showroom and found the only IS-F the dealership had. It was an Ultrasonic Blue on the showroom floor. The manager of the dealership said they were having a huge problem selling them and this was the only one they had in stock, which I found interesting but not surprising. I found out the nail was wider then it was deeper in the tire and didn't puncture so they pulled it out and I was on my way. On my way home I was at a stoplight and pulled behind a Nissan 350Z.

I couldn't see any major modifications and the exhaust sounded stock but he managed to take off from the light a little quick and so I followed a little behind. I let him get two to three car lengths ahead and wasn't in the mood to race but I saw a huge plume of black smoke come out of the exhaust tips from when he downshifted and I said to myself "here we go" I downshifted like hell and was able to pull over a car length and a half on him by 120. :D I slammed on the brakes and he passed me and started to weave in and out of traffic like a bat outta hell. I figured if I could pull a car length + from that far behind, its not worth weaving in and out of traffic to prove who's quicker through traffic so I backed off.

Just figured I'd share my little excitement for the day :) This doesn't include a spanking of a S2000 or a Scion that both wanted to race :)

A long stream of consciousness but good story. Thant confirms what I feel when I am in the car, until you find a worthy opponent, its not even worth it ;). I am sure there are plenty of good challenges out there, but the damn car feels like a loaded gun, that requires responsibility to keep in check. Its just too easy to get drunk with power hahahahaha.

Well I figured I'd share the story :) Don't hate the player, hate the game haha :p
I'm not scared of any car in my local area Virginia Beach (Hampton Roads etc). I've raced modded evos, 350z's , Ford SVT cobras (which was close) even some deuche bag in a cobalt SS. Half of the idiots around here don't even know what they are looking at when I pull up, and often ask me what type of engine is under the hood and what the HP rating is, and how many gears it has blah blah blah. I simply show them the golf clubs in the trunk and tell them that my IS-F is simply a four door family car!

If I was still living in San Diego, every other honda and evo would be wanting a piece of my golf clubs :D
nice story, i actually saw one about 2 weeks ago leaving this fancy mall near me, in the white i have to say in my opinion its actually not that bad looking, honestly i like the car, but i hate how they ruined the front its just so bad looking in the front, but the rear of the car is awesome...honestly my opinion they should have just not came out with the infiniti G35 or nissan 350z and just use somewhat of those bodies to make the new skyline...seriously the r35 skyline is a bit disappointment towards look, but under the looks lies a monster...!!
I live in miami.. the streets down here are loaded with m3's, c63's, m5's, ferraris and lambos i mean i always see them driving on the other side of the roads and it tempts me so bad to turn around and go race

Good Story Bro..Don't waste your time on a G37 or 350Z's..Unless they're heavily modified they got NO CHANCE!
As for me I went down the Nissan Dealership for the 2nd time b/c they had another GT-R in stock..Of course this is my opinion but Front and back GT-R is Absolutely gorgeous side view of the car looks like one of those 70's muscle car..The color was Super Silver..The Nissan dealer was nagging me to trade the IS-F in..Currently there are maybe about 3-5 I believe in Baltimore for IS-F's so naturally he went to resell it for more money after I told him engine is properly broken in and it comes with Ext warranty as well..
1.If the GT-R was Black,White or Red 75% I would of done it.
2.Damn markup fee is TOO MUCH!
3.I was not digging the color of Super Silver which isn't bad but not my taste!

As I say told the dealer maybe in few years or pending on when and if they decide to sell it for REGULAR RETAIL PRICE OF $75k before then we got a deal!

My female friend thinks it looks like nothing more than beefed up G37..I mean I kinda see it, not really I suppose..

Last, As for hard time selling F's in Lexus Dealers, it's true..That's why I feel more privileged that no one can drive F besides it is around $65K or so but I won't see them on the road. I got better shot seeing IS250's and 350 but for the F..Nope! I've seen one till this day..

yet another car that came out after the IS-F that already has an abundance of aftermarket products out. Is that an HKS quad tip titanium exhaust I see:confused:

mmmmmmmm.....SEMA good!
I gotta be blunt here in general..I'm not a big fan of body kits and mods exception of engine mods in cars..I just like the way car manufacturer's leave it the way it is..On F I think it's gorgeous way it is stock..Same with GT-R no need for any car mods/body kits etc..
thats very true, i have a porsche cayenne so im kinda into rims for cars so, thats about it, but if the car is orignally fast theres no need to do anything to it, i think its perfect the way it is!!
And Nissan is so kind to Void your warranty if you use the Launch Control and it something. If you go racing, same thing, no warranty. The only way to keep your warranty to to have the vehicle inspected after your "fun". And don't worry, Nissan installed a "black box" that records EVERYTHING. The GPS limits the top speed to 112 MPH unless it know's it's on an approved race track.. $80,000 plus mark up, and no warranty, sounds good ;(

Andy, that's the beauty of the GT-R..:D When I asked the salesman at Nissan about everything I heard from a another forum they flatly denied it..No joke!
Black Box, Launch mode and oil change issue..And kept on telling me the same old B.S story about someone ALWAYS put a $30K deposit on it and YET IF I either trade and pay the difference or flat out Buy the car with the markup then the Deposit gets returned to the original customer..What a fu**in lying sack of sh**..Not once, Not Twice three times the story..AWGH!!!
