My New Shoes...Weds Sports!

Hi Guys,
Well as all of you know it's pretty tough finding a better looking wheel than our stock BBS beauties...not to mention finding something as stong. After a lot of research I decided to go with the Weds Sport SA-67R in Gunmetal. They are flow-formed so similar strenght and durability of our forged BBS's and EXTREMELY lighweight...they weigh 22 lbs for the rear 19x10's and 21.4 lbs for the front 19x9's :eek1: Compare this to the stock BBS which weigh 29 lbs for the rear and 23 lbs for the front! For the tires, I decided to go with the Nitto INVO's...245/35's in the front and 285/30's in the rear. This is my daily driver so I needed a tire that was comfortable and sticky and so far they haven't disappointed. I was about to go with the Nitto NT-05's which have a stiffer sidewall but I didn't think I could tolerate this tire on a daily driver. Anyway, on with the pics...Darshana S...

Those look very nice. Love the look of the added width. Have you pushed the car yet to see if there are any rubbing issues under hard cornering or uneven pavement?

Yeah, there's definately rubbing in the back. I'm going to be trimming the fenders a bit to hopefully get rid of that. But otherwise, the car feels great!...Darshana S...
Damn that's a great choice. It fits the "F" theme well. I like it!
where did you get that grill.. and love the wheels they look amazing.. i was convinced that the only better looking wheel would be an hre p40 but you just proved me wrong.

The grill was custom made by myself...I got the grill material and color matched the factory grill surround and made it myself. I think it's one of my best mods...really sets off the aggressive nature of the car. Thanks for the compliments...Darshana S...
yea the grill is beautiful
They look great! Im not a fan of the blue but the grey and the wheel design look great on your car, good choice.
Well Done. Very Well Done!
Nice Supraman, welcome to the club! I must say they look better on your white than on my blue, the contrast does wonders. Yes, when I lifted them I couldn't walk away from the store without them.
Admittedly though, I'm training my eyes on another set, I'll post pictures once I get them but it won't be very soon. It's on special order. Only thing I can say for now is that they related to our OEMs. :)
Oh yes the grill, I think you should make more of them and sell. If you do I'm in for one. Please make mine blue. :)
looks great man. I would be interested in the grill as well.
Oarngemig has these wheels too. They really are light weight. Just be sure to seal those blue stripes. I heard they fade over time...
Great looking wheels, as a matter of fact I think I will be installing a set on my MM F in a few weeks.

Can you tell me why you went with 285's vs 275's out back?

Are you on coils or springs?

My F is riding on Eibach, so the rear is almost stock height and I plan on going with 275/30's, so hopefully I will not have to trim too much, may just be wishfull thinking I don't know. But your car looks great and very agressive.

Enjoy,

Gary

Thank you for the compliments. I went with the 285 for two reasons...one because I wanted the widest tires possible for the rear for traction reasons, and two because it's actually the optimum size for the 10" wide rear wheels. The pictures you see here is with the car with stock suspension. I have since upgraded to Eibach Springs and looks a lot more aggressive now. If you go with 285's, with these offsets you definately have to trim the rear fender a bit to prevent it from rubbing. Not a big deal, but some will likely just go with 275's and avoid the hassle...Darshana S...
Great looking setup, love the way the entire car looks :D

I'm going Tuesday to check them out for myself, but let me get your opinion, how do you think the Gunmetal color will work with Mercury Metallic?

I think the wheels would look great with Mercury Metallic given that dark gunmetal slilver look of the wheels. Definately a great combo IMHO...Darshana S...
