So, I contacted several dealers about CPO cars on their lots.
They seem to be unwilling to negotiate much -- surprising in this market. Prices for a clean, low-mileage '08 CPO are hovering around $45k, which IMO is about $3-4k too high.
Considering the CPO warranty and 0.9% APR, the same car from a private party should be around $38k.
Maybe I'm being overly optimistic
If I were selling my IS-F now, I would probably be more flexible on price. A year from now, a lot more IS-Fs will be coming off lease, supply will probably double and prices will take a dive. Wouldn't be surprised if '08 IS-Fs are selling for low 30s.
I'm still semi-interested in leasing or purchasing a '08-09 IS-F, but it will have to be a great deal to make me pull the trigger. Feel free to PM if you have anything in mind.
