Finally sold my Celica today. I'm looking for a Starfire Pearl with low mileage. Lower the price the better so I can convince my dad who is paying for the car. He is looking to buy a IS350 or 335i instead but i would love to have an F instead. So throw me some prices and pictures. I would prefer local So Cal. I don't want to spend a grand on shipping it across the country thanks

I would love to help you out, but I won't have the lowest price (it's an 09') and there will be shipping charges! I have an 09 Starfire Pearl.

thanks but you guys are too far away from me. I'll be looking for a local first. I'm not looking to spend over 50k because if so i'll just get a new bmw 335i but again i really like an F.

You shouldn't compare Apple's to Oranges... A 335i and an ISF are not in the same catagory.
I bought an IS F back in early April.

I first drove a 335i which was very impressive but then I test drove an IS F and there was no comparison. The 335 is quick but when you sink into the cockpit of the F and take it for a spin, its a totally overwhelming experience.

I'm not comparing. Its my dads call. If i cant find a deal that would satisfy my dad then i'll might have to get a 335i(sedan) but i rather have an F.

Let's all help him educate dad as to what a intelligent vehicle purchase is!

tcelicargtsd, after all you've learned from us you should be able to explain to your dad why the IS-F is a smart purchase...shouldn't you? ;)

haha I love the car but i know its not worth 60k thats why some dealers are letting it go cheaper. I know Lexus needs to make a profit so does every body else. To him its a fixed up IS350 that cost an extra 20k. You know how older folks think especially when it comes to money and the F is not exactly cheap. He drives a 535i so buying me a car that cost more than his own makes him a bit angry.

Sounds good. The biggest diffrence is it's not from a Lexus store, so it can not be Certified. And that leads to the question of why does a non Lexus store have a vehicle like that?

Call me old but I can't imagine any father buying their kid an IS F. No need and no point to it. I'm not envious, just realistic.

Maybe an older Civic, but anything nicer YOU should be buying it and at the least helping to make the payments.

I'd ask him for a Ducati 1198 after you get the IS F.
