Part 2 of 2. I got within 0.5 inch of the car but decided to respect the "Please Do Not Touch" sign. :(

I don't speak/read Japanese so I have no idea if it's production ready or not. By jumping in & taking these photos, however, I did manage to interrupt a conversation between a wealthy looking middle aged Japanese guy who was sipping champagne and the nice looking girl he was talking to at the dealership. :D

damn, nice pics... with the economy the way it is and toyota posting their first loss in ages, i don't see this car hitting production any time soon... but hopefully, i'm wrong (not that i could afford one of these bad boys)
Welcome to the site! Those are awesome pics! How was the show? Interesting color choice by Lexus, from the pics it looks almost like a burnt orange. It also has the same F decals as on the IS-F!
Seems odd that the steering wheel is on the left. Will the car be coming to car shows in the US?
Nice shots! Thanks for the "spy" photos. Nice to know we have a member in the "F" homeland. ;)

Front end looks oddly 350Z-ish, minus the headlights of course...thanks for the pix
Glad you guys liked it. I was just vacationing in Tokyo in Oct and happened to see it on display.

The pics are actually from a Lexus dealership in the Roppongi district. I was just exploring aimlessly in the area and happened to glance inside the dealership window across the street and it was OMG what the heck...

The 1st shot was taken outside (you can see the raindrops on the glass), but the rest from inside the dealership showroom (you can see the glass reflection plus the street scene on the 4th shot).

As mentioned I have no idea what the production status is, even for inside Japan. There was this Japanese man sipping champagne and admiring the LF-A while talking to a female staff. I took a few snapshots and when they started looking at me, I told them this car is not available in North America so I just wanted to check it out.

After a good 10 minutes admiring the LF-A, the girl actually came over and asked me (in primitive English) if I am looking to buy a Lexus in Japan. At this point I wasn't sure if I have offended anyone already so I just thanked her, smiled, and left. :)

The service is so much better here in Japan. Everytime I go in to the dealership I get a free hand car wash and anything I would like to drink ad it dose not matter if I go in every week. But there is still no word on when this baby will be released here. :(

Toyota hasn't actually posted the loss. They are only forecasting a loss for 2009. Personally I believe they don't want to be gloating while most manufacturers are floundering so badly. Time will tell I suppose.

Also, Toyota has never shown a loss.

Actually, Toyota posted an operating loss for 2008. First time in 70 years of business. However, an operating loss doesn't mean the company lost money - in fact Toyota will still make profit this year... just not near as much as last year.

Correct, my mistake.
Hello All.
Just joined. I live and work in Tokyo (08' IS350 owner). If the LF-A and other LF concept cars follow suit of the IS-F here in Japan, the full production units will be released outside of Japan before they are sold here. Can you believe a Japanese engineered super car like the IS-F is not officially sold here in Japan until late Summer 09'? Go figure.

One cool note, while test driving the IS-F on the small narrow streets of Tokyo last year, the sales guy told me if I purchase it through Lexus they would give the new owner the option of putting racing tires on their new IS-F and running it on the famous Fuji speedway here in Japan.

To all those who already own the IS-F, I am envious. Anybody gearing up to install a twin turbo or supercharger?
24Hr LeMans

Heard the LF-A did not do so well in the 24Hr LeMans last year...wonder what happend...hope they made some changes. Anybody know any details?

I live in Osaka and I own an LS600hL ,celsior and an soon to be added IS-F and my dealer I go to is going to do the same for me when I take delivery of the IS-F next week (let me run at Fuji that is). I am not going to go though, too busy at the moment.
