Lexus Performance Experience at Laguna Seca
In <A HREF="http://my.is/forums/f45/taste-lexus-encounter-series-luxury-updated-23-july-2008-a-366367/">a recent my.IS Front Page story</A>, we lamented the end of the <A HREF="http://my.is/forums/f45/lexus-launches-f-performance-driving-academy-359275/">Lexus IS F Performance Driving Academy.</A> Perhaps we wrote the obituary a bit too soon, though, for now we hear that it will be returning, for one last hurrah, as the Lexus Performance Experience at Laguna Seca Raceway in Salinas, California on Wednesday 13 August 2008, as part of the events surrounding the <A HREF="http://www.montereyhistoric.com/">Rolex Monterey Historic Automobile Races</A> and the <A HREF="http://www.pebblebeachconcours.net/">Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance</A> festivities.
The Lexus Performance Experience is a one-hour program that begins with professional race car drivers taking you around Laguna Seca in a Lexus IS F for turn-by-turn instruction (including the legendary Corkscrew). Then, it's your turn to drive Lexus' fastest car around the track yourself. A light breakfast or light lunch will be provided.
Six separate sessions are available, starting at 8 am, 9 am, 10 am, 11 am, 12 noon and 1 pm. You must be over age 21 to participate. To register, call 888-747-4504.
