Hi all, just purchased a 2008 IS-F, 7K miles (after driving it from Vegas to MN!)

Good forum, I look forward to chatting. I plan on modding.

Generally:
- New exhaust
- 25% tint all around
- DVD and Nav override
- not sure what I want to do with the engine, not sure what the performance gains are yet

What's up Mike? Welcome to the forum and congrats on your purchase! What color did you end up picking up?

As far as new exhaust, it depends on what your looking to go with (axle back, headers, full exhaust, etc.) as well as whether or not you like the stock exhaust tips (the ISS system gets rid of them while setups like Joe Z and Borla keep them). It's up to you and your preference. There is a lot of information on here for you to search/sort though. With regards to engine performance, there are a few different intake setups as well as throttle and fuel controllers out on the market with more to come in the future (hopefully).

Again, welcome and let us know if you have any other questions

Thanks for the warm welcomes everybody. I choose black, I think it looks fantastic. I'm getting used to the lower gas mileage, but absolutely love the car. I'm sure my mileage will improve when I stop stomping on the pedal and disabling traction control.

The drive from Vegas was a lot of fun. Started in Vegas to CO in day one. I stopped in Parker, CO (near Denver) to rest. Then from Parker to Minneapolis in day two. Unfortunately it was pitch dark through the mountains and sunny over the flattest parts of America. I didn't pick up any tickets, but there were some close calls.

To [email protected]: Great!

Mike

Wow that's a long drive! Congrats on your ISF. Do you have any pics from your trip home?

I am in Minneapolis, I live a couple blocks north of downtown.

I stopped at a couple of the outlooks, but I didn't get too many good shots -- again, it was dark for the picturesque part of the drive :(.

I'd be down for a meet up. April 1st is a long ways off, how about May 1st :)
