Just Days Away!!

My wife and I will be picking up our new 2008 IS-F this Saturday. We test drove it last week. I put both girl's car seats in the back, one rear facing, one forward and our big stroller in the trunk. I still can't believe it all fit!!

The four of us went for a test drive and loved it! At first I was going for the GS350, which is really the best car you can buy, in that class, but since we have a Touareg, there is no need for a big Sedan. I used to have a 350z and new I feel like I'm getting a combo of a 350z, but turbo-charged and a GS350 in one. We are sooooo excited!!

Two things I would have like, that are in the GS, ventilated seats (black leather is hot!) and folding mirrors.

The seats are ventilated, just not cooled. The mechanism wouldn't fit. The mirrors fold:confused:

Welcome to the site and congrats on the purchase! Be sure to post up pictures once you get it home!

Lou, they do on ours (you just have to do it manually) while other Lexus models have them power folding.
Lou, they do in other Lexus models but not in the F.
What:confused: Folding mirrors:confused: They Fold. We are speaking of the outside mirrors, Right:confused:

They fold... just not POWER FOLDING... You have to order that... riight?
Lou, yup, the right and left side exterior rearview mirrors power fold on other models.

Veerals, unless it has been changed in the 09 version, it is not an option for the F at all.

you might be right... is it the high pressured headlight washers I'm thinking of?

I wish we had power folding mirrors

But anyway, I'm glad you're getting your ISF soon! I know I couldn't sleep the day before I was getting mine... I was just up all night.. tossing, turning, and rolling in bed like a small child waiting for Christmas morning lol...

Power folding mirror option is not available for North American IS F. Every other IS F's in the world do.
Ah, POWER Folding Mirrors. It is my understanding that no Lexus model, and perhaps no other automobile offers this feature in North America. As I remember is has to do with the width of the roads we will drive on. In other parts of the world, the roads are so narrow, that the mirrors need to be folded when passing or approaching other vehicles.

Basam, I can't wait for you to see your new IS-F and you and the Mrs. head back home on Saturday in it ! Did you sell your other car yet?

As far as Power Folding Mirrors, there are a few vehicle's that have it in the Lexus Line-up: GS models, LS models, LX, and the 2010 RX with the Luxury Package.
Congratz on your new ISF not only will you love it, im pretty sure your children will as well! lol, If you have any questions on the car don't hesitate to ask. Welcome to the forums also!
Thanks all, I know I'm really going to love the car. Andy, Yes I sold me car on Monday Night. Money is in my checking account and waiting to be handed off to you this Saturday. I know you are taking extremely good care of our baby until Saturday. Does Lexus still do the roses for the ladies? I know she'll love that.

Yeah, I was talking about power folding. We have'em on our Touareg and it comes in handle when you are holding a bunch of stuff and trying to get past while in the garage. I only really think about the ventilated/cooled seats, because they were on a GS350 we tested and it was really cool, but I think the 416 HP evens things out a bit.

Guys really, I already can't concentrate on anything without the car popping in my head. I've always wanted a car like this and we're so blessed that we finally, well mostly, have the means. Work hard, play hard, right?

Hell I'm even excited about taking the Amtrak from Milwaukee to Chicago. It's a first for us. :)

Stay tuned pictures to come....

Wife and I took delivery today from Andy at McGrath, what a great dealership!! Everyone was so nice to my wife and I, across the board. We had to get home to Milwaukee from Chicago fast, because of weather, but I took a couple of pics at the dealer. More to come. :)

I'm glad you made it home safe !! Did you beat the weather?
Yeah, the ice rain was behind us. We came home and about two hours later it started snowing like crazy. I'm glad the temp is above 45 and all roads are clear, so I can drive the car.

This car is just amazing! My wife and I have been driving it everywhere. Can't wait until I run into an M3 on the road!
Congrats on the car, hope you have fun with it, don't get pulled over for going fast!!! Car Looks Great
Glad you guys are enjoying it! My wife can't get enough of it either. She's actually planning on buying one three years down the road, if Lexus still makes them...
