Joe Z Intake installed!

I received my BLUE anodized intake pipe on Saturday, and installed it. It looks awesome and really adds to the asthetics of the engine bay. As far as performance, I think DYNO results show a slight increase of 5RWHP, but my BUTT dyno does not register anything significant (as 5hp is not going to be very noticible except for on the dyno or on the track).

As well, I purchased the H11 and 9005 high intensity (Titamnium White) light bulbs, and what a difference. They look incredible, and really light up the road at night!

I am waiting on the Joe Z Dual Exhaust system, and expect it will arrive within a week or so. Not sure if I will install it yet, as I like the sound of the car as it is (stock). But, as soon as I LOSE a close race, you can believe it will be going in.

I also read a 51 page post invloving a new vendor ("MPH") regarding ECU tuning, and it appears that they were able to extract close to 25RWHP from the IS-F. The posy was going strong into March, and then just died off.

Does anyone have more information? Was there a group buy offered? Anyone interested?

Why would you wait to install the exhaust? You either install it or sell it. It's not likely you will lose a race anytime soon, there's not that man cars on the road that can beat you less even want to race as majority of the fast cars are older gents who don't care to race. Just install the exhaust!
Here's my black one. Little deeper tone, little louder shifts, but overall not much change in sound. I luv it.

Any Pics?

What brand of bulbs did you get? Any Pics of those as well? I want to replace my DRL/Highbeams with 9005 bulbs (trying to stay away from the LED) but want it to be as "white" as possible in DRL mode. I was thinking a larger wattage bulb (100W) and higher capacity harnesses to be on the safe side.

I hear you man; i am just a little gun shy because I know the "calm" tone of the car will be replaced with wild thunder. I know I will love it, but need to get my feet wet one toe at a time! LOL
I will post pics this week. As far as the brand, I think they were called Luminics (Titanium White). Awesome stuff!
Sounds like your F is coming along nicely  I'm not sure I would wait to install the exhaust. If you like the sound of the stock one your going to love the sound of the Joe Z.

I'm not positive about MHP but last I remember the guys were out of the country for a few weeks then they were preparing for a big race in the mid-west. I would read all the posts of that 51 page thread as well as look at other threads about the tune (basically do all your research) before having your ECU tuned.
Agreed BIGMike. I actually did read the entire thread, bu tit seemed to just END in March. Looks like they lost momentum or something.

As far as the JoeZ exhaust, i will likey put it on the DAY I GET IT...(knowing me), but I am trying to move slowly so that I have more to look forward to. I am still getting my kicks with the car in stock form, so I am not in a rush to modify too much.

I am thinking about COIL OVER suspension. Who is best?
Yea, I know that thread dies off but I remember asking and people mentioning the group was out of the country for a few weeks then they were working on products.

A Coilover set is going to depend on what you want from them (stiffness, adjustability, etc.). I'm told by many people (I don't own a set yet but when I do, I will order JIC) that JIC is the best on the F. There are a few other companies out there that offer them (Tein and BC Racing).
I see. Ok, that is good to know BIGMIKE. THanks for the insight!

I hear you but when its installed you will love the roar.
Yea, I'm sure I will love it. OK, its going on just as soon as I get it!!

Did you get it all installed Baba? Remember the "break in" period for the exhaust is around 200 miles
Unfortunately, no! Between the Easter weekend, visiting inlaws and 2 kids, I have been having a hell of a time trying to find the time!!! I am itching to install the system, but it is just sitting on the back of my Land ROver collecting dust!! I'm dying over here!
