ISF vs RS6 on the hwy

On the way home the other day. Pretty backed up traffic but pulled up next to him. Slowly pass him, he slowly passes me. I slow down to make room and then gas it past him. He does the same. We go back and forth while traffice gets lighter and lighter. Then things open up and he jumps behind me. We did a few pulls up to 100 or so and he never seems like a threat so I let him pass and take the lead. It was very friendly as we both wanted to size things up. He takes off and we pull up to 120 or so and then I pretty easily passed him on the right while we are both still accelerating. Just a slow pull past and I get ahead again. I could smell a lot of cat from his back end so I know he was giving it all he had. I slowed down because I have no idea what the actual speed rating of the snow tires is and we go a few more miles before he has to pull off. Very fun, polite race/ demo on both ends. That car is pretty fast, but the F seemed to walk him no problem. Must be the losses through the AWD drivetrain. Good data point though :)

Awesome stuff! Was it a wagon or sedan? Those RS6's are pretty quick and the new ones are pushing out 580 horses if I remember correctly.

sounds like a fun time though, glad you were able to pull ahead even with snow tires :)
Sedan, the c5 version. Yeah, I am thinking the C6 must be insane.

It's interesting about the c6 RS6 though Fig, i've heard its a 5.2 liter twin turbocharged V10 with over 580 horses and nearly 480 pound-feet of torque but it has a serious weight issue. Curb weight is nearly 4500 pounds  that puts it running the 60 in mid to high 4's! Going to be interesting to see one on the road though :)
yeah why is it that the germans add so much power AND weight haha. Just like the V10 TDI toureg...that thing wighed it at 6800lbs I believe. same pwr plant.

Haha, no idea, interesting stuff though
