IS F's arriving in port and RedRock Interior

My dealership contacted me yesterday because I am first on the list to buy one at a so-cal dealer.

He told me that the first batch of IS-F's are set to arrive in the Los Angeles port on January 30th, and to go on sale very soon after that.

And the Redrock interior rumor a while back is the real deal. The IS-F my dealership is set to receive is obsidian black on the exterior with the Redrock interior.

My salesman described it as a chocolate brown.
Here is a picture of a tundra with Toyota's Redrock interior.

Hope this information gets some of you excited!

I am told there is only black and black with white for interior colors. I have driven 5 different isf and none of them have had brown or redrock interiors.
Redrock is indeed being offered.

It could be as nice of a combo as the Interlagos Blue/Cinnamon on the E46 m3 which I do love but without seeing it I am not taking the gamble.

I am going Alpine B&W 2 tone seat treatment.
Got mine yesterday >

Black was the only interior color ever offered to me, so black on black it is. The black interior is offset by the blue "F" stiching. The black exterior is the pure black, not the blackish color the IS 350's came with.... So far so good... :)

Not sure where you are getting this information from, but perhaps you know I don't about the available seat colors, we shall see?

I am still sticking with 2 colors choice, black or black with white insert.

And how do you like it so far? I think the review posted here from the vette forum was close to what i thought, but I didn't notice any body roll in high speed turns, mind you I drive a tundra and he was coming from driving a vette. Car is a joy to drive, would be hard to staying at the speed limit.
Put just over 100 miles on it today ! Mostly freeway >

but I did run it though the local hills and side roads a bit too. Still trying to not fully push the limits until I have about 1000 miles on it. Let's just say this, my wife says she hasn't seen me smile this much in years ! ;)

The car just sticks to the road. I drove the car pretty deep into some turns, well past what I would have done in my IS350 and it didn't even phase the "F". It points in great and has sufficient HP and Torque to push you through the turn and accelerate out without blinking an eye, zero body roll. and that was at about 1/4th throttle... It runs at 80 at about 2K rpms just as smooth as can be as feels like it wants more! All the while the low throaty growl is omni-present and when you even party press the throttle the car just comes alive with sound and forward movement..... ;) Very impressed so far!

Will run it again tomorrow. So far the best news is that it is pretty stelthy. Most don't know what it is other then an Lexus IS .... and that's fine with me.

Congrats! Do you have any pictures of the interior?
Newport Lexus (Newport beach, CA) had, might still have, a white ISF with Black interior.

Black interior looks really nice with the dark blue stiching.

I am still going with the 2 tone interior though.
I just want to pass on that the IS-F is being offered in two interior colors. Alpine white with black stiching and Black with blue stiching. In our dealer system the vehicle shows up as having redrock interior available but at the recent 3 day "F" training I attended I was assured by all parties that Black and White are the only colors being offered in this vehicle. If anyone has a picture of one with redrock I would love to see it because I am very confused by all of this. I think the interior color code may have been mis-labled in the system which would explain the mistake.
