The backseat in the CTS-V...there's not much room there either by my recollection.
My guess is the IS F is going to be a discontinued experiment. I have absolutely nothing to back that up, and I hope I'm wrong.
I'm a Dallas native although I've lived the last 30 years in Denver. Sewell Village Lexus and Cadillac has a great reputation I thought...my family in Dallas has always thought so. I don't like getting soaked for unnecessary repairs either. I thought Tynan's Nissan in Denver was guilty of upselling, but their service I have to admit is pretty customer friendly.
Anyway, I think the suspension of the IS F is appropriately controlled and nicely compliant. I also think the backseat is surprisingly roomy and a comfortable place to ride. Ingress/egress from the doors is a little tight.
My opinion of this car, is that it's a great sedan for luxury sport touring, but unless you can afford to keep tires, rims and brakes on it, it's not a practical family car for most people as a daily driver.
The CTS-V doesn't fit into GM's future plans either.
How is the IS F selling? Not many were sold in Colorado, but it's sold out. I understand it's going to be available special order only, at one of the Lexus dealers here.
So is the IS F viable? Barely for the time being. But there's never been a street fighting hooligan that can match it for hushed sophistication and comfort, and that includes the CTS-V. I'm in love with it.
