They are probably looking for a better motor for their Lexus SC430 drift program..

Apexi USA is heavily involved in buliding & setting up the Lexus SC430 platform.

Considering they are the brains behind "building & setting up" the Lexus Drift SC430...

We could say that maybe it has something to do with drifting...
