I'm currently using the Griffin for my Ipod 3G although it also works with my kid's other ipod models that are USB-based.

I like it because you only have to plug in one cable, and it is pretty discrete.
Belkin has a model with an aux port for Ipods/Iphones that are Firewire based.
I've also use the kensington liquid-aux adapter but it costs more and has features I don't care about.
