All,

Happy Easter! Well I am finally back from Germany and I must say it is good to be home! While I was gone I ordered a few goodies for the F. When I came home the following items were sitting in my foyer: JoeZ intake & exhaust, Passport 9500ix, Amsoil air filter, Billet oil filter, Aerotech overlays, DIY intake mod, all weather floor mats and dvd screen protector. So far I have managed to install everything but the exhaust. The exhaust will be installed tomorrow morning by a local exhaust shop. I must say the DIY intake mod and JoeZ intake are kick @$$. Just an FYI, I installed everything separately and ran the car for a few hours before installing the next mod to see if I could feel a difference. The car definitely performs and sounds better with the DYI intake mod and JoeZ intake. I can't wait to get the exhaust installed tomorrow! :D
Another note, I haven't had time to disassemble to console and check the DVD wire. I will probably get to that next weekend. My fiancee' is starting to get pissed since I've been working on the F all weekend. I don't want to break up a happy home!
Attached are some pictures of the car and mods. Special thanks to JoeZ, Clark, Lou and Fig! Enjoy...

Welcome back!

Your F is looking great so far! Your going to really enjoy all the mods you ordered. The chromed intake pipe looks really good in the engine bay
congrats the mod bug is contagious.
Excuse my ignorance, but what does the new intake do differently than the stock one?

My question as well. If the stock and the new intake have the same measurements, how can the new one give a power gain? It couldn't be because the stock is plastic and the other is metal! ;)

It removes the resonator and lets air flow more freely from the outside, through the box and then into the engine. The Joe Z intake is averaging a gain of around 5 rwhp per F

Mission complete!

All,

The JoeZ exhaust is installed on the F and the system is BADA$$!!! The car feels so much faster and the sound is unbelievable! The videos from Youtube are decent but you must hear the exhaust in person! I received compliments on the exhaust already. They couldn't believe the Lex could produce that type of exhaust note. I absolutely love it and it's worth every penny! Attached are a couple of shots of the exhaust on the lift. Sorry for the last shot it's kind of dark. I was so anxious for the tech to start the car I didn't realize the poor quality of the picture. Enjoy!
Next mod: Tom's LTS...

Cheers,

Rachael

Lou, thanks so much for the billet oil cap! I totally agree with Big Mike, the polished intake looks great and the billet oil cap complements the intake well. Let me know if you decide to sell more billet products! ;)

Looking real good brattygirl72! Seeing all these threads makes me all the more anxious to receive the exhaust as well. :D
