Hi all. Just registered here tonight, and thought I would go ahead and introduce myself. My name is Ken and I'm 42 years old.

I'm looking forward to learning more about the IS-F. I will be shopping for a new car late this year or early next year, and the IS-F will be on my list :)

P.S. Thanks to dascrow for referring me to this site.

Welcome Ken.

The IS-F is definitely a car everyone has been waiting for. Stay tuned...i'll be sharing more info on the car in the next few weeks. It's going to be an exciting and competative 2008.
Welcome to the site! The IS-F is looking to be an awesome car :)
Welcome to the site
Also new here... thought I'd say hi :) I've actually been kicking the tires of the is350 but decided I might put that off and wait for the IS-F provided the Canadian price is not insane which I fear probably will be.
:) Welcome! The IS-F is certainly looking like it will be worth the wait. I hope the price is not too high in Canada. I would recommend that if you are not in a big hurry, then wait for it. There will be a big difference in the performance of the IS-F and the IS350, based on what we know already about it.

Is-f

Great! There should be some more news coming this month in a Lexus press release. It is very exciting to have another choice in the high performance sedan market.

Keep us posted regarding your progress towards getting one.

I'm waiting for more information before placing my order. I at least need an options and pricing sheet and final engine specs before I'm ready to put down my hard-earned money :)

I'm also looking forward for IS-F...:D
I am scared for the price in Canada as well. Im hoping I can get one for under 70k, opinions?

I'm thinking it will be well over 70k probably closer to the 80k range, you know how it is with the higher end cars here.... we get raped :(

I am on the fence with the IS-F, especially if it's priced as high as I think it will be here. I am hearing rumors now that it's going to be more in the higher 50k range in the states... something like 57k. If you look at cars in this price range in US compared to Canada your looking at 75-80k before tax. You can get a used 2005-06 M5 with low KMs for a little more then that.

The other thing that is also keeping me on the fence is the tranny. I can not understand why Lexus is not offering this car in full manual. I guess nothing can be said until the test drive but I've driven these tiptronic type cars before and I have yet to find one I enjoy. I just find without a clutch I lose so much feel for the car regardless of how much power it has it just doesn't feel right.
